CityNews – Two Thai men were beaten up by four foreign tourists who broke into a fruit store while drunk in the early hours on November 9.

On the day in question, at around 5am, 29-year-old Lertnatee Sriwichai who owns a fruit store in Sompet Market in the Sri Phum, awoke to loud sounds coming from his store. When he investigated the noise, he found four tourists, drunk and dancing on his fruit tables.

He shouted at them and chased them away, but then followed them to see where they were staying so he could inform the police.

However, the four men then turned on Lertnatee and beat him up.

The tables turned, its usually 4 Thais beat up 1 Farang.

regards Worgeordie

Were they pushed to the ground and kicked in the repeated until loos conscious and left for dead? were they rapped,

murdered or threatened with a weapon? were all the valuables stolen and left them penniless?

in No to all the above, than let them go with a warning or a 1,000 baht fine....

Yeah, I had to read this twice as I thought that i was seeing things !!!

I will never get the Thai sense of justice consisting in publicly shaming suspects before they're even judged.

50,000 each should be enough for them to have to go home, if they actually avoid deportation. I think there is even extra penalties for doing burglary at night. Tresspassing is a fairly serious offense, and while 52 isn't old, that would also be an aggravating circumstance in a Thai court. If they haven't settled it all by now, they are already in very deep. Having a beard and dressing "impolitely" while committing crimes will also work against them.

The four jail birds will likely be the only ones to get "rapped."

An innocent merchant too bad it wasnot a bouncer at a club.

not a visible mark on them, maybe shoved about a bit rather than beaten up

Should read attacked by 4 ATM"s

go to jail stupid falang

That makes a change - four on two is better odds than they give foreigners. That's because Johnny Westerner, when abroad, fights fair, don'tcha know. whistling.gif

Silly thing to do, as they say youth is wasted on the young.and these fellahs are in a world of sh&&$t

Time to ring mummy and daddy to put some extra cash on your debit cards, you chinless morons.

I think there is a caption missing from the two men pointing: "That <deleted> is wearing sunglasses on his head".

Do they not understand that pointing is rude?cheesy.gif

I wonder if they actually broke into a fruit store or entered the talaat somphet.... a fresh market, not secured and then danced on the tables (???) If they had been apologetic when first yelled at they sure would have gotten off cheaper. thugs.

They mistook the fruit tables for the ceiling.

Still, they were wrong. Drunk and break in. The Thai only defended his livelihood. Quality tourists making other farangs look bad.

Ezzra you have such a negative approach to Thailand and most other things, why do you stay here?

Of the four Farangs its obvious three of them are innocent. Both Thai guys are pointing only to the one Farang so let the other three go.

It's the same old situation, farangs behaving badly.

When will groups of young visitors (& some older visitors!!) learn to behave respectfully & with moderation when in a foreign country; likely wouldn't act in same way within own countries....but then again, maybe they do! They come to Thailand with some sort of inflated egos!!

Two Thai men were beaten up by four foreign tourists who broke into a fruit store while drunk, Lertnatee Sriwichai said the farang stole a blackberry, one apple ipad. The accused argued they thought the devices where Orange.

Thai man don't look like he had a beating ,look at picture Australian man at airport hit by a Thai ,who will get the biggest fines?

I'd say it was breaking-and-entering, theft, assault....these scumbags should get a few years in the slammer, deported, and blacklisted. Hope they don't get to pay their way out of it.

Yes another picture of someone pointing at someone to show the cameras who dun it! Really the mentality here is shockingly childish.

Bang on the button there mate!!!!!!!!

Thai judicial system us very different. You have to proove you are innocent, so public shaming before the case is heard is an extension of that "thinking". It's another reason why people here have so much fear of the "system", when they have no power in the system. TIT.

What did they steal?
