What would it cost to setup a non grid solar power setup from 500 to 1000 watts? Is it difficult to DIY?

The application is to add a 200 watt pond pump to a pond, It does not necessarily need to run at night so It does not necessarily need batteries. But if they do not add a lot to the overall cost, then I would include them.
