THAILAND -- The daughter of a real estate tycoon in Rayong province was found beaten up and unconscious beside a reservoir in Pluak Daeng district today (Wednesday).

The victim, 56-year old Ms Renoo Tankanchananurak, is the daughter of Mr Surachai, a real estate tycoon who owns a finance company, a hotel and several real estate projects in the province. She is also an associate judge of the juvenile court.

She was found lying unconscious beside Dok Krai reservoir by villagers who rushed her to the provincial hospital and then alerted the police.

After recovering her consciousness, Ms Renoo told the police that she was abducted by Mr Dum, one of her employees and two other men, who forced her into a car and beaten up until she felt unconscious.

She said she regained consciousness as she found herself in the reservoir and managed to swim ashore. She added that it was dark at the time and she tried desperately to get help until she fainted due to fatigue.

Ms Renoo told police she found out that Dum falsified the company’s land title deed of an eight rai land plot worth about 200 million bahtwith an intention to sell it to some buyers and she was about to lodge a complaint to the police. However, Dum knew about it and tried to kill her, she said.

Police said they could not locate Dum at the company and would ask the court to issue a warrant for his arrest.

What a dolt. Even if he succeeded in killing her they would have obviously been looking closely at him considering the size of the deal he forged.

You have more faith in the investigative expertise of the RTP than he does, and he is Dum.

Thailand is becoming dumber by the day, seems to me that murder is escalating in this country.

Very sad, another Dum Dum crime with obvious dumber plot, no forthought of how wonderfull life is in the Hilton.

Someone is almost killed and dumped presumed dead and all we get here are stupid jokes about the perpetrators nickname? sad.png

I hope she recovers quickly and the perpetrator(s) is / are caught.

We need to be tolerant; sadly this affliction in rampant here:

People with frontotemporal dementia often develop a darker sense of humour, taking delight in other people's misfortunes. And when they made jokes they tended to be graphic, smutty or childish in their subject.

wasn't there another story in the last day or two about some dead guy found at a reservoir or something (can't recall all the details) and he had a bag with a land deed in it?

Any chance this is a related story?

Remember ,the words logic and reasoning has no translation into Thai .

The moral of this story is, never throw people into reservoirs that can swim.

I don't think reservoirs can swim.

Just like TVF jokers in this thread can't make funny jokes.

Dum & Dummer! This seems to be standard Thai business practices....wonder if they teach this in the Thai Universities?

In life I have found that things that sound highly improbable usually are not true. Perhaps this lady is telling the truth, but it sounds a bit far fetched.

I really have no idea either way. Just a general observation.
