Looking For Free Webhosting

Featured Replies

I want to build a personal website and I'm looking for free webhosting. The site will include personal stuff and many photos for family and friends back home.

I will use something like dreamweaver or frontpage, I just hated yahoo-geocities...

Your suggestions about the free webhosting would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try out

http://www.netfirms.com/hostingbasic

Free, supports frontpage and ftp (not like the online hassle of geocities)

They have free subdomains (www.yourname.netfirms.com) so you can get started completely free...

They'll only put an advertisement banner on top of every page...no pop-ups...

chromehost.com

You have to have your own domain name, but you can get whatever.uni.cc for free, instructions are given in the chromehost forum. Offers loads of goodies like PHP, mySQL, 50MB space but they'll give you more if you ask nicely, cpanel, etc. You're supposed to include their banner on your site but they haven't got around to designing one yet.
