CHIANG MAI: -- In a move to make Songkran a little less sexual, Chiang Mai officials have announced a ban on sexy, see-through “X-ray pants” at the famous water festival.

To protect the image of Lanna culture, any clothing which can appear “suggestive” when soaked with water has been banned from Chiang Mai Songkran celebrations.

This includes the “X-ray pants”, which were expected to be a huge trend during Songkran this year.

Massive drought problems and now this.

May as well cancel the whole thing.

Bah humbug.

Well, that's a lose for the viewing public as I was planning to wear a pair my self at the festival......

Have heard that I have sexy muscles... guess i better stay home and safe... don't want nooo trouble.

Oh the hypocrisy! It reaks more than the drains here

They must be damn bored in their offices to have time to think about this stuff. OMG, how much 3rd world it is....

Its only in Chang Mai, they are a bit more prude there biggrin.png

Shame they've banned....help to keep some important parts dry!!

It's just as well, I couldn't find a pair in XXXL.

I found one of those plastic bags that duvets come in and cut two holes in it.

The puritans strike again, they must need something to do.

How many people have actually been fined for burning, not quite sure which would need dealing with first, see thru knickers or killer smog?

Wet T shirt competition out the window also I guess. They will need a battalion of water police down by the moat, this could be hilarious when the arrests take place and hit the social media.

"Aside from the suggestive clothing, officials said they would also ban sexy dance moves and sexy muscles.

Sexy Muscles...????

But no ban on the arsenal of Dildo's for sale in the street stalls next to the one's selling the "suggestive" clothing

One thing for sure, there's no chance the Karaoke rites of Lannas will be stifled under CM's current administration.

Maybe I could design some MRI pants.... or at least sonogram shorts.....

blink.png Even though I'm over 70 years and weigh about 130 kilos the girlz insist I'm sexy. Must find a pair of sexy shorts. I will wear them at soi 9 and Beach Rd. on songkran.biggrin.png

Transparency is not allowed in hypocritical Thailand!

Anyone who would wear colored PVC shorts possesses a charming and fashionable insouciance.

The police will do better to arrest the tourists from Korea seen traipsing around braless in white T-shirts.

And now a certain gentleman will come along, reverse the decision, and say that it is, in fact, OK for girls to wear this clothing, just as long as they are attractive.

The whole thing is kind of contradicting. Since those shorts seem to be made of plastic they can't get sexy when wet.
