June 22, 20169 yr Depends on 'luck of the draw'. Literally there is no such formal draw but you know what I mean. If I were betting and not knowing yet what the match line-ups will be. I would say that the most likely scenario is that both teams go out in the quarters. I grant you that the Welsh performance against Russia was the second best performance of the tournament (we saw the best one last night from Croatia I reckon). What we have seen though is a team that has played at the top of its game and in England a team that has stuttered. This is football; despite all the cr@p that has been thrown at Roy with some considerable justification the English squad is far superior in principle and luck/fortune/karma often results in different performance levels pre and post group-stages. Put it another way - injury to Bale or Ramsey would be a major disadvantage. Pick any two players from England's squad except Dier (who has been outstanding) and we would hardly bat an eyelid if they are nobbled - in fact it would be an advantage as it would reduce Roy's bu$$ering about with the team sheet
