Residency letter from US Embassy 2016 , Land Transportation Offices list?

Hello, I'm looking to get a USA auto and motorcycle license endorsed to get a Thai DL for both.

Since, I'm not doing 90 day reporting yet, I guess I'm forced to pay the 1500B to get a residence letter from US embassy?

My question is whether a short term condo letter, is probably going to be enough to obtain such a letter from the US embassy in 2016 era ?

Part II :

Further, can anyone recommend a Land Transportation Office in the Bangkok vicinity, used recently, that had obtaining a DL go smoothly?

and/or an efficient place to get a "5 diseases" medical clearance form

or maybe ideally a location that has both nearby

I have gotten 4 Residency Letters form Thai Immigration in Pattaya and Korat. One for my drivers license, one when I bought my motorcycle and one each for my 2 cars and a lot cheaper than 1900 baht at the Embassy.

And you got all this without having done an extension, without having done a 90 day report at the immigration ever, as the OP describes?

Just curious , what is the cost and how much time does it take to get it at Chang Wattana, for those that have done at least 1 90 day report?

Here is a piece of good advice ... get a Yellow Book ... works for just about everything that needs proof of address...do a forum search
