Joey Barton has been appointed as the next manager of Fleetwood Town. His ban for illegal betting ends 31st May and he starts on 1st June. He replaces Jon Sheridan who only recently replaced Uwe Rosler.

Hamburg have just been relegated from the Bundesliga for the first time. The current manager did a decent job; 4 wins from 9 games. I really hope he comes to England. His name? Wolfgang Titz.

The best name since Wolfgang Wolff was manager of Wolfsburg.

Getting quite busy on the managerial front

And possibly the return of Pelligrini.

Benitez must be scratching his head thinking why is arteta the favourite for the arsenal job and my option seems to be West ham.

Beggars belief, I really hope he doesn’t go to West Ham.

Does Rafa's family still live in the Wirral? Would he be a candidate for (duck for cover)..........Everton?

there's more chance of everton appointing me as manager.

and if you've any money lying around, you'd do worse than put it on david "winner" moyes back to goodison.

I thought Ashley was selling Newcastle. I'd love Rafa to get some cash and stay with the toon.  He'd be appreciated and with a bit of cash he'd march them uptake table.

he's perfect for them and yeah the fans do seem to like and appreciate him. that ashley is a horrible brexit-backing gobsh*te tub of lard though.

arteta to arsenal seems to be a bookies odds-on at the moment. bit of a strange one, you'd think they'd go with someone who has at least some managerial experience.

He won't go away though Ashley, really feel for Rafa, seems to take these odd jobs, does a good job but is in the wrong place at the wrong time, or doesn't get backed.

I was listening to the Coach Home there this arvo and it does sound like Arteta is on for Arsenal

Sky reckon Arsenal's transfer budget will be 50m...No 'big name' will go there with that little money. Possibly explains Arteta?

not very likely to placate the fans that is it? small budget and a manager with no experience and little pull in the market. considering they've been linked with likes of loew, tuchel, simeone even previously arteta is lowering your sights a bit.

As for Rafa to WHU. I dunno whether he'd go to a club whose Vice Chairperson has a column in that rag!.............. Bloody hope not anyway!

vice chairperson? that be karren brady? makes my skin crawl she does. i mean gold and sullivan are clearly openly sleazy and just ooze grease out of every pore but she's got that whole tory veneer of respectability going on. just nasty people.

Ship steadier, no risk, might do ok, start the rebuild, then give it to a higher profile in a couple of years.

Apparently there is only a 50mil war chest, so doubt that will entice a big name

West ham need to get a grip. Their aspirations need a reality check. Letting Moyes go in spite of his shockingly good work shows you what a bunch of amateurs they really are. They made what appeared to be a bad appointment and moyes dug deep and did a more than decent job.
