A tourist takes a picture of his friend while she uses a zipline across the Ban Phae Kwang “grand canyon” in Chiang Mai’s Hang Dong district on Monday.

Ban Phae Kwang village headman Pairin Kawai led a team to inspect the safety of the zipline that runs for 750 metres across the canyon.

Pairin was invited to test the device and its associated safety gear by the service provider, who is in the process of applying for a licence.

"Pairin was invited to test the device and its associated safety gear by the service provider, who is in the process of applying for a licence."

Yet they are already operational. Wonder how the lack of a licence affects the tourists insurance?

insurance would probably be invalid anyway, as this would be classed as a dangerous sport.., as deaths have proved already.

Do they sell "gift certificates?" I will give to some people I don't like.

The maidens clearly dressed appropriately for the maiden flight

Photo complete with inappropriately and unpolite dressed clueless foreigners of both sexes. Good show...not!

What is the dress code for zip-lining?

My Lillian Eichler Book of Etiquette makes no mention of it.

The girls on the pic should have removed their bra...it would have made the buzz on the issue...harder!!

Not lurid and salacious enough. No graphic bestiality or importune deaths. Sad.

Didn't you see the movie casino?  All you have to do is apply for a license!
