Thai man died after "overdoing it" in Khon Kaen hotel room

A young Thai man died in a Khon Kaen hotel room after police said he likely "overdid it" with a female companion, reported the Thai media.

Muang police went to room 525 on the fifth floor of a well known downtown hotel where they found 32 year old Watchara dead, face up on the bed.

His surname was withheld.

He was wearing a t-shirt but was naked from the waist down.

On the bed forensics found a long hair that looked like a female hair and on the floor was a used condom, reported Daily News.

Hotel staff said that the man was a frequent visitor to the hotel and checked in alone on Saturday. When the maid went on Sunday she used her key to get in but found the chain was on.

She could see inside that something was amiss and called the police.

Yutthana Ngamchat of Muang district police said it was likely that the deceased had brought a woman to the room and after sex she had left.

He said that the victim was probably overtired and the excessive use of energy probably caused him to have a heart attack.

An autopsy should confirm the cause of death.

Tiredness or ‘Thainess’ ?

32 years old, one used condom and he over did it?  Not sure if the sex was over done if it was at 46 I had better stick to just a quick rub through the jeans.

sigh, easy come, easy go.

It is very possible, having survived a heart attack at 47 to live and tell the tail.

The Cardiologist stating that 4 times in one day is referred to as over exerting oneself, and will eventually kill you, if you continue at that pace, however what I find interesting here is:

When the maid went on Sunday she used her key to get in but found the chain was on.

So he saw here/him out and then put the chain on and went to sleep, hhhmmm ?

Pre-existing conditions?

(Sex) drugs, speed pills, alcohol?

All combined?

A proper autopsy will probably tell.

Overdone sounds too simple really.

"overdone" was the expression used by the "lady"...........:sorry:

Agreed.  At first I thought the woman had just scarpered but she cannot do that and leave the chain on.

Unless it was a ground floor apartment?

Why not? Most people staying in hotels put a chain on after the last visitor leaves.

At 32 it is likely outside influences were involved with the mixing of Y and V being a dangerous cocktail.  Of course it could be natural causes and I am just aimlessly speculating with everyone else.

police are on the look out for a young lady with a funny walk

He came, he went...

"Death: where is thy sting?"

Did they find his wallet?

Maybe was heart attack naturally or maybe used chemical pills to last longer as so many young people do but whatever it was.

Rest in peace man

When I am about to overdo it at 70 I take a nap . The TW can help herself or turn the other cheek.

SEE ! I even nodded off posting this.

It well may be due to SUDS (Sudden and unexplained death in sleep). Very common about young men in Isaan. Nothing at all to do with sex. Just happens. Maybe a mixture of Lao Khaaw, working long hours, the diet etc. This mostly occurs in villages. Not very often in hotel rooms. But always young men aged between 20 and 35.

What a load of fools, couldnt be anything other than something fishy, my young nephew a good sportsman who at age 31 was playing golf, swung a driver and before the swing was finished was dead on the ground, massive heart attack and its all over red rover.

My question is.  How did the person leaving put the chain on the inside of the door from the outside?

And she put the chain on before she left for the maid to find.  Now, hang on a minute here, Mr Journo and use your loaf.   How do you think the female visitor did that?   Did she leave by a fire escape, perchance?   Or, as one of the other posters suggested, he locked up after she left and then "checked out" on his own later.

Possibly the person left, and the guest put the chain on, before he passed on?

Except SUDS (the last S, by the way, stands for "Syndrome") normally occurs in foreign locations like Singapore or the Middle East, where men are working hard and going without their rich and varied Isaan diets, including all the fresh vegetables and fish they would get at home.

It is commonly believed that it is caused by the "evil eye" of a female ghost who visits the men in their sleep. In this case, I think she was very much alive and he was awake during coupling, if the used condom is any indication. Mind you, the chain on door, might indicate that it was a ghost, and he forgot to grow his little finger nail and paint it red, prior to the tryst with the pii:shock1:

So perhaps they should hold off on the leery guessing!

This death from dying suddenly in ones sleep is known by many names:

Sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS), also known as sudden adult death syndrome, sudden unexpected/unexplained death syndrome (SUDS) or sudden unexpected/unexplained nocturnal death syndrome (SUNDS).

It is relatively common in Yasothon and Ubon provinces among young men.
