Taxi driver masturbating in front of student passengers arrested - fined 5,000 baht, loses license for good

The taxi driver who was filmed masturbating while taking three female students to school has been found.

 

Somkhit Kulanark had gone into hiding but admitted everything when questioned by Sukree Jaruphum of the Department of Land Transport yesterday.

 

He was fined 5,000 baht - the highest possible under 1979 ordinances related to indecency - and had his license taken away permanently.

 

He was then handed over to Samut Prakarn police who intend to charge him according to the criminal law, reported Daily News.

 

Earlier the taxi company who rented him the cab were also fined after it was discovered that Somkhit's license was out of date.

 

The case came to light after a picture was posted on Facebook on the page of Pachorndech Pongpin.

In 2979 they plan to raise it to 6,000 baht.

The other thread says they actually revoked this guy's license, and forever!  Woohoo.  They finally got that one bad apple.  Taxis all OK now!
