Was there a problem last year if you hit the "show results" button it recorded it as a vote and you then couldn't vote?

It's just the way the forum software works. Don't hit "show results" if you want to vote.

 

AND you cannot change your vote once it's cast, I believe that was a "bug" that is now fixed.
