I think it's quite normal to assume that some <deleted> riding whilst playing with his phone and not paying attention is likely to have an accident.

Then you think an 82 year old, probably shaken up through no fault of his own, should jump off his trike and rush to help an idiot who wasn't injured and got up to move his bike to a side street?

Sorry mate, but that motocycle fell because something from that tricycle grabbed his bike...if it was a real roadworthy vehicle it would have round corners for safetyreasons. Almost daily i get hurt by modified vehicles which is illegal but the police doesn't do anything....untill accidents happen that is.

 

You can clearly see a cable hanging at the front of that tricycle, if that was a round corner without obstacles the motocy wouldn't have fallen.

 

Who's fault this accident is i don't know, it's just how it goes in thailand but that tricycle is an illegal vehicle.

Actually, from my point of view, the idiot rode right into the tricycle. Was his fault. But you know what? That's the nature of 'accidents', sometimes things are clear cut and some times, like this case, it is not. You yourself have now admitted you don't know whose fault it is.

 

What is clear about this is that a cowardly young punk assaulted a senior citizen. There is no defence for that. And it's disgusting when people try to justify this assault by trying to blame the accident on the old man when even they can't see what really happened.

The tricycle is an illegal vehicle, really....... so is it legal for the guy on the motorbike to be riding with one hand, using his mobile phone, not wearing a helmet, speeding and physically assaulting an 82 year old defenseless man?

For the very same reason why 12-15 year old local guys are allowed to race drive on Jomtien beach and Sukhumvit with their noisy, tuned-up small motorcycles while police officers sitting nearby continue playing their smartphones: No good stopping them because they do not have the money to pay the fines anyway. And vice versa, for exactly the same reason they will stop a falang guy driving to a 7/11 500 meters from his home if he happened to forget the helmet.

I notice that most of the motorbikes used for trash pick up or to sell food do not have license plates. These vehicles should be registered...no registration = no insurance.

Yeah it was a dumb accident but the old guy also didn't stop when the motocy fell on the road.

 

These collectors shouldn't be on the road in a very busy city, and men from 82 shouldn't have to work at all..

But i see these guys almost every day and they don't seem to care for any trafficrule at all, even have no licenseplate while they are motocy's driving 30 on mainroads where cars go 60-100 and that's very dangerous. It's VERY busy in my area so these things shouldn't be on the roads at all.

 

Also he didn't even stop for the falling motocy so  i guess it's not a very nice person. And the neighbours also didn't want to touch him which also tells a lot.

Thian are you a first time person to Thailand? If you have spent any time in the city with these small sois, you would know that most Thais go slow if there are other people around. This lying piecd of crap 21 year old who assualted before just had no respect, and he was pissed that he got knocked down. The old guy was slow enough, he did not need to stop to see that the kid was okay. The young punk did not need to lose his temprr and attack the old guy. This old man did none of what, by generalization, you accuse him of; no sharp stuff sticking out, no riding against the traffic, didn't need lights, you certainly don't know anything about his feelings towards other road users, he didn't "cause all traffic in danger" and didn't cause any congestion.  There is no law against proceeding along a road slowly, by the way. 

 

Perhaps you think that if he did do any of the things you suggest he did then he deserved a good kicking, is that it?
