Four bull sharks were sighted in the sea near Khao Tao in Hua Hin district of Prachuap Khiri Khan by authorities conducting searches on patrol boats and by drones.

Thipamas Upnoi, director of  the Marine and Coastal Resources and Development Centre at the Central Gulf of Thailand said the observation operation which began late yesterday (April 19) until Friday morning found four sharks, believed to be bull sharks in the area off Khao Tao in Hua Hin.

She said the sharks are about 1-2 metres long. They were sighted swimming on the sea surface.

the quoted artice shows "do not swim" signs that say nothing about sharks.  people are still swimming, geez I wonder why???

It's simple, they want to spend in Thaivisa:WPFflags:
and claim the money by showing their tootsies devoured.

Where's the fifth one or is that just a rock.

it's more likely bull shit than bull sharks...  as they are very shy and take off, normally they are hard to spot.

I want to see both their licences for that drone........a  shark  commented  later

they were seen in the sea, errrr..... that's where they live, in the sea.

There are lots of bull sharks in the gulf - has been for eternity. In my diving days they were well know off Samaesan and Koh Tao.

Definitely Thai sharks, they are now targeting tourists swimming in the murky waters in Hua Hin.

wonder if thailand has shark feeding diving tours?  some believe that teaches sharks to associate people with eating/food

Not so - according to an article about them on the National Geographic website:

many experts consider bull sharks to be the most dangerous sharks in the world. Historically, they are joined by their more famous cousins, great whites and tiger sharks, as the three species most likely to attack humans

Except for SCUBA divers. The Bulls are regarded as very low threat to the divers and frequently allow the divers to swim with the team... They will also just eat from your hand... Just like Grey Reef sharks.

Great to see wildlife surviving in this world. Must be food for them to eat so I hope their numbers increase.

Bulls are not shy.  They can be very aggressive given the right circumstances - they have the highest testosterone of any animal.

Spot on.

...and responsible for the merciless exploitation of the planet as well.

Another caption might be: "Rogue Bonobo-Chimpanzee out of it's natural habitat."

Put simply, yes.

Not the lady sharks surely

Possibly, especially the guys who are selling Chilean bull shark testosterone will support the highest testosterone claim.
Are you researching in this field?
I was engaged from 2000-2008 in a survey regarding river shark distribution in South East Asia, Australia, China and India.
