Yeah, I doubt they'd look so healthy after their ordeal. Great news though!

Please do not post the old picture of the boys , they could be in a terrible state , not smiling like this and need medical help .

TVF poster"BangkokSausage" is now very quiet! Seems his "nil results" have come back to bite him.

Where are you from?” ask the lost boys. “England, the UK.”  Whether he was there first by design or not does not matter, only that ALL rescuers made, a so far, successful contribution. By that I mean it is not yet over.

And keep that ego-maniac senior policman out!

Rule Brittania, yes but everyone involved deserves praise.

Stupid comments and bickering by certain members can now stop.

The result is fantastic, well done.

Do you really think the idiots will go away, they are just assembling their next onslaught of negativity and nonsense.

Amazing, unbelievable, fantastic news!!  Can't wait for Kiwi Kiwi and the others who were saying they are all dead and wouldn't be in Pattaya Beach, the Thai rescue was pathetic etc etc.

Pathetic naysayers should feel ashamed and embarrassed.

WHAT AN AMAZING AMAZING SUCCESS!!!!!!!

Do you really feel that the likes of KK and the others will feel embarrassed and ashamed - I don't, they will just carry on in their warped world of self importance.

GREAT FANTASTIC  RESULT.

Ditto. Too many negative thinkers gave up too soon. Logic indicated to me that success would eventually prevail. This is a win for Thailand and the world. Goes to show how countries working together can do more than those who isolate.

Agree...……...I also could not see how they should have died, what with a good cave temp, water to drink (albeit muddy) and some high ground on which to sit, so it was a matter of time IMO, and great news prevailed.

so what will the haters say now  who said  they will have died ...…

And I don't understand comments like this above; where does "haters" come into it??? They were stating their belief that the kids could be dead...…….negative thinking yes (as Neeray has said) but "hating"? I think you'd have to be pretty twisted to wish the boys dead because of hate??

Everyone would love to see them do a lap of honour before the World Cup Final on the 15th in Moscow. Make it happen FIFA.

First they need to be removed from where they are to safety and then to hospital for a full check up.

That may take some time to achieve.

Oh please get a tissue and have a good cry... There you go better now?

My post was addressing the thai bashers. Yep the ones crowing about there superior skin color gives them magical powers.

Well that didn't work out to well!. All of this begging to get every international team out there because big bwana will fix it is now OFFICIALLY completely BS!

In fact it worked out VERY well and what a surprise, the first two people who found them were in your words "whiteys" from the UK working together with Thais and every other nationality on the rescue.

Cue to apologise and perhaps eat humble pie.

You're wrong obviously as I was responding to a member that said this --

...  every reason to believe they will be ok ...

Look, I'll go there.

At this point it's reasonable to assume that some, most, or even all of them are probably already dead.

There's also a fair chance that happened the first day by swimming into the currents.

People don't want to say that because they may feel that would jinx the rescue efforts.

That should obviously continue for much longer. There is definitely still hope. Just not a massive amount of it now especially for all of them.

Wow I bet you are a happy this morning, guess you shouldn’t have gone there, looks like you assume wrong, please think before you post,

If it’s negative garbage why bother, just keep it to yourself where it belongs running around in your head like little pools of rancid sewerage

Not that they "could" be dead (obvious to everyone) but that they WERE dead, asserted quite definitively by some posters. One even demanded that the search be halted.

I will not attempt to fatthom what motivates that sort of thing but it certainly isn't love/compassion nor is it a grasp of solid facts.

I was expecting harassment TROLL posts like yours above but thank you for being so predictable.

I still think after all that time it was entirely rational to think it was unlikely that all had survived.

If you had read my posts in context, you would also know I have posted that I would THRILLED to be wrong about that. Which I am of course.

Also, but your post fails to mention that as well, I always made it clear that there was still HOPE and I mentioned numerous times that those boys could possibly survive up to a MONTH without food as long as they had water.

I never, not once, not ever, suggested the rescue effort should have been suspended before then.

I also mentioned numerous times that there was a good sign -- no bodies found. Which underlined that the search should have continued.

Also I countered others multiple times saying they would die quickly of the cold. I suggested as long as they could be in a drier area the air temperatures were OK and wouldn't kill them.

There were some others saying they were definitely dead. Harass them! I didn't.

There were some others advocating that the search should end. Harass them! I didn't.

Yes, some posters.

But not all people that expressed pessimism about their odds said they were DEFINITELY dead.

People should not put those groups in the same boat.

I still think my pessimism was quite rational. Of course, I am thrilled I was wrong. I think people all over the world are rejoicing in their survival even though it's true their ordeal is far from OVER.

That wasn't quite where I was coming from with my post and I'll try to explain..........

Even if some posters did suggest they were dead (luckily they weren't) that is what they believed and why they posted it.

However the link between that and other posts about "the haters" is hard to fathom, because it is a non sequitur and a post about the boys being dead, in no way indicates that the poster is a "hater" – – I just don't see the link?

It was all the other rubbish that these 'haters' posted; they were thoroughly unpleasant.

I think the British team deserve special mention as they seem to have brought "methodology" to the rescue, but then again divers from Oz, Sweden, USA and Thailand all helped, so a team effort where experienced leadership was needed.

This from the NZ Herald...…………

Richard Stanton, Robert Harper and John Volanthen made up the heroic British team who led the way in finding the young boys.

The Brit trio are global experts in exploring underground systems and were sent "because they are the best" for the job.

They were provided with equipment from Derbyshire Cave Rescue.

Major Buncha Duriyapan, commander of the 37th Military District in Chiang Rai, said the three Brits got to work as soon as they landed.

He said: "The expert divers went straight from the plane into the cave to make an assessment."

When asked about the mission, one of the divers, John Volanthen simply told the BBC: "We've got a job to do."

Without going back to check, I would suggest more than 1 promoted the idea of calling the search off.
