Yes ! we have recently been informed that a major change will happen soon on the server side of things. We will post when we know more.

Does that mean a ThaiVisa hour will be 60 minutes again instead of 50 ? :whistling:

  • Maybe they should add some more ads to pay for faster servers

  • So slow and sporadic I give up. Since Nation took over TV has become less user friendly and full of ads. Looking for a better site for Thailand visa info and news.

  • Yep, looks like I will be mowing the lawn today...????   I now refer to the mower as Error 520...????

Someone blamed Google for old rubbish, but there  stuf from admin from 2016. Is Google a Member, how does it post stuff here.?. England will be free of E.U. before this is sorted.

Maybe some proper expat IT consultants are in order. A forum is about the easiest thing to manage from a tech perspective.

Other than the slowness, frustrating things are (when using the website version):

Ads bar popping up at top and bottom of page

Pinned comments which when you try to add a reaction have the reactions obstructed so that you can't select them

I find it a lot better today apart from the usual :02 and :32 minute slots, but even they are improving though somewhat slowly.

I find the opposite.

The time period when the forum is either not working at all, or horribly slow - seems to be extending....

FUBR????

FUBAR wold be more appropriate.

This has to be a 21st century record for length of time attempting to fix a website with no progress after about a month.

From report that action on server will be taken one might get the impression they are waiting for current contract to end?  Perhaps New Year?  Not guessing which new year.  ????

I got that one wrong. I thought the last word was repair, not recognition!

Agreed there is no improvement. Actually the time outs are now 6 - 8 minutes, starting at .00 and .30

Also not sure what can improve during the 44 minutes of the hour that it loads, it either loads or it doesn't.

Seriously, one month (or is it two) and counting....

Well luck for you, I also had some false hopes , but very slow this afternoon .

When I logged in this evening I had that red banner at the top of my page, so I thought oh no not again, but it was a notification that there were issues with the system and that they were aware of it.

Anyone else aware of those issues yet? :whistling:

By the way, had to wait 8 minutes to post this because of wrong timing ????

Gonna put my clock in the middle of my screen, so it's easier to figure out when is the right time to refresh page or open a bunch of threads in different tabs to pass the next 8 minutes.

i was thinking maybe this screen would help during the times things slow down.

Maybe try dropping the purple durian logo and see if that speeds things up any. It's a twofer.

In the last 20 minutes I've had to sign in twice.

Really is getting a bit too tedious.

Since Nov. 11th...?

39 days!

This stuff isn't rocket science and there are plenty of qualified people out there who could fix it...

What's the jam???

The red Banner even loaded Lazada Thailand when i clicked off it. Google is the cause, according to my Spyware Detector., Its loaded Nissan Thailand, Casino and Porn Sites, dont know how it does this, and no one complains. Non of the sites Ives ever clicked on. Not just on TV, everything from Norway News to paid up legal  Net Flix.Movies. Yet if you block em, the site wont work. Perhaps this has some bearing, yet Teak Door works fine, but i dont like it.

Block all 3rd-party scripts and JS, except TVF.

Red Banners gone so all must be well

Actaully

I've had the opposite problem insofar as I've been unable to register with Lazada recently - even though I've bought a few things from them in the past!

I've been blaming it on my laptop which has been playing up for a while now, but perhaps google is causing additional problems?

Not that this has anything to do with this forum's problems, which are only getting worse.... edit - as the unusable period extends....

Same, so i use the phone app for Las, its better than the P.C. No clutter, opens in English every time and Bank Pay is easy.

Probably against the rules, so I can't tell you. I'll send you  a PM though (which acually isn't private).

since it is a problem that appeared suddenly I am going to guess that it is a log files issue, very common and easily overlooked, they build up and clog the server because they are not being managed or purged correctly

These lingering issues point to either management incompetence, technical incompetence or both.

Get your act together already TV...members shouldn't have to make individual tweaks to their devices, just to properly browse the TV forums.
