Hua Hin: Beach will be free of vendors every Wednesday

Local authorities and beach operators in Hua Hin have come to an agreement about the beach at the resort.

Talk News Online reported that vendors will not be allowed to use the beach every Wednesday.

This is so that the beach - from  Khao Takiap to Hua Hin - can recover, be "returned to the people" and cleaned.

Traders will team up with the local authority to clean up once a week on Wednesdays.

Twenty two traders met with Hua Hin authority official Jirawat Prahmanee and mayor Noppaporn Wuthikun on Wednesday. Military and police representatives were also in attendance as differences were ironed out.

So the prices will rise accordingly.

stopped going to that beach was told couldn't hire a bed unless we bought food Told them  to shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Was going to order something after an hour or so but Thai mentality wasn't awake at 11 am.

The law says there are to be no vendors on the beach at anytime.

This  one day a week non activity is BS. It's so bad now that the restaurant/massage/sunchairs go right up to the water line in some places.

What amazes me is that the authorities even allow this to occur and that no one says anything about the restaurant  operating next to the  sewage ditch that drains into the ocean. I am astounded that the Europeans  will eat next to a sewage ditch or sit and swim in the effluent without a care.

I like to walk the beach early in the morning and  I also don't like it when the chairs are right up to the water line. However this usually only happens near high tide. The chair vendors do provide a service and I have found most of them to be friendly and accommodating. When the tide is up near the wall where else could they put the chairs? While the beach is not perfect, it is far better and cleaner than the beaches near Siratcha and Pattaya.

And, you cant get an Haircut on a Wednesday whats the place coming to?

What about the pony rides, beach scattered with piles of dung.
