are there any scientists here who can comment about the effectiveness of such spraying?

You don't need to be a scientist to know that it's a half brained cocked up idea to fly planes to spray water from 400ft around bkk.its all nothing more than a show to the public that something is being done about the problem that stems from vehicle exhaust fumes and crop burning.stop them two problems and the skies will clear up in no time.asia is a chimney of pollution of the world and they don't give a toss about it as it costs money to clean up the environment.

"What did you do today?"

"Well I went to my boss and convinced him my drone club could fix the smog problem and he believed me."

And he immediately got the special permits to fly above BKK and millions of people who don't wear helmets.

We'll spray a lot of sticky molasses on their white shirts and food, their cars will need a wash tonight but i get a commission from the carwash as well....i'm so good!

What a complete and utter shambles. They have litteraly no idea of how to stop pollution.

Planes, drones, hosepipes, god knows what other pathetic measures.

These are all ridiculous measures that last less than 5 minutes.

Get to the root causes of pollution and get it under control permanently.

This just goes to show that the country is run by completely inept officials incapable of carrying out their duties in office.

Discharge them all and employ people with knowledge of how to run a country!

Will we be reading about plane crashes now - Sorry, I couldn't see where I was going!  I fell asleep! I was following too close!

Not to mention, 47 indigenous maintained worn out old Cessnas will spew out even more oil and pollution. ATC here get nervous handling 5 aerop.lanes, never mind 47 plus drones

If it does work, they may wish to look at opening of their drone laws so their use could be more effective.  Fixed wing aircraft are more efficient and carry heavier payloads.

Don't forget -- the brakes failed!

You mean the air brakes?

So for all the air pollution experts above, other than engaging in the usual Thai bashing, y'all got any concrete solutions to mitigate the problem NOW not in the future?

no...they think that if you spray one area ...there is a wall to stop neighbouring pollution to move in

Stop burning rubbish and fields? Easy as pie.

So what happens 5 minutes later when the wind blows and movers more dirty air back around where they sprayed?  Shouldn't they attack the cause of the problem?

well, he had the fleet of ships to make the Chao Phraya flow faster, now we got the small planes...

if anyone with contact to the government reads this, I have a bright idea: why not ask all people to put their fans out and have them all blow in the same direction to get that wind going?
