The real point is he isn't doing ANY of that. He's poisoning the climate, polarizing the country, and anyone with an ounce of critical thinking can see this.

Trump didn't polarize the country. The country is polarized, ergo Trump. Trump merely took advantage of an existing situation. He can absolutely be blamed for fanning the flames, but he didn't start the fire.

LOL, I know of no Dems in the House that care about the country. All I see are Trump haters that want to get back into power no matter what.

If they cared about the country, IMO they'd be concentrating on passing good legislation and not Trump Trump Trump all the time.

Far as I can tell, there hasn't been a competent president since Kennedy, so competence is hardly a requirement for POTUS. Been some that had disrespect for the law too.

Now that the Democrats have a majority in the House they are showing they care about the country by investigating an obvious conman and possible Russian puppet, while crafting legislation regarding gun control, net neutrality, reigning in an out of control President usurping Congress's constitutional duty to control government finances, and implementing ethical standards and financial transparency for future Presidents that the country badly needs.

Our new normal.

God help us.

Trump’s unhinged CPAC speech should concern us all

The president of the United States gave a rambling and incoherent two-hour speech in which he raved like a lunatic and told crazy, self-serving lies from start to finish. If that no longer qualifies as alarming, we’re in serious trouble.

He's got 2 conservative judges on the SCOTUS and dumped the TPP. That's pretty good going for a novice politician IMO.

The old adage of a broken clock being right twice a day. And, yes, at the beginning of his presidency I was hoping he'd have a somewhat decent run, and begging out of TPP was a good start. Then Trump hit the fan.

In other words, Trump's obvious incompetence. self-serving conflicts of interest and disrespect for law doesn't bother you, you just enjoy knowing that rational people who care about the country are p.o.'d.

Now that's TDS!

Nah. For me, it's more about respecting the result of a democratic election.

For those against Trump, show you can do better and win the next election. It sucks that there is a long waiting time between president changes, but having an election every year like Australia does is disrupting from getting things done.

Maybe there will be someone to win the vote away from Trump and actually do a better job for the majority of citizens.

I'm thinking Trump will keep winning but only hope it stays peaceful.

trump is the poster boy for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people of low ability have illusory superiority and mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. The cognitive bias of illusory superiority comes from the inability of low-ability people to recognize their lack of ability. Without the self-awareness of metacognition, low-ability people cannot objectively evaluate their competence or incompetence.

"Dunning–Kruger effect"-just described over half the Democratic party members presently warming seats in Congress and the Senate.

So we've lowered ourselves to "I know you are but what am I" now, have we?

The following statement by Trump says as much about the mentality of his supporters as it does him.............

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters,” he said.

Now you know the type of people who support him, and they post here!!

If he thought he would get more votes he would shoot himself, throw the gun in the sewer and blame Cohen!

Trumps use (and yours) of the word "socialism" is a ruse to garner favour with his supporters and those who don't really understand it............and the last line is it in a nutshell.

And as for tax hikes on the wealthy, well after Trumps tax cuts lined his and their pockets, not surprising is it.

President Donald Trump warned about socialism during his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

More Democrats have called for Medicare for all and tax hikes on the wealthy, among other liberal policies, as the party took back a House majority last month.

While his opponents have not backed socialism, Trump appears set to use the ideology as an attack as he faces a difficult re-election bid in 2020.

The talk of illigitimate election doesn't fit in with my reasoning. I haven't seen the evidence.

You get a chance to view speaches, tv advertisements, internet information. Make up your mind and get a vote.

Were people denied to physically lodge their vote?

I'm more thinking the argument is when you allow abso lootly everyone a chance to vote and silly people outnumber the rest, then a silly result can be obtained. That's democracy.

My guess, probably not to the extent that it would meet your criteria, aka physical restraint, or kidnapping.

That said, 77,000 votes in three key states swung the electoral college. Voter suppression and social media played a role. The russians, facebook, Giles-Parscale, Cambridge-Analytica more than likely impacted the outcome. Were voting machines hacked? No. Were ballots manipulated (like in NC-9)? No.

Do I think trump intended to win? Heck no.

If you ask people if they want their bodies full of bacteria the majority will say no.  If you explain that their bodies are already full of bacteria and the bacteria are essential to life, many will change their minds.

If you ask people if they want socialism the majority will say no.  If you explain that Social Security, Medicare, public roads, public education, etc. are socialist programs, many will change their minds.

Which of the socialist programs mentioned do you oppose?

There are just tons of evidence that the 2016 election was tainted.  Not just by Russians, but by fake news in general.  For example, that whole Seth Rich saga regarding the hacking of the DNC.  Some people (aka Trump voters) believed that crap. Now it's clear that it was all made-up.

[On Monday, pro-Trump conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi retracted a nearly year-old column published on the website Infowars, run by another notorious conspiracy peddler, Alex Jones, that promoted the unfounded claim that Rich and his brother participated in the hack of the DNC and leaked documents to WikiLeaks.]
