Don't recall ever seeing Kanchana but saw Yui Yatt Yerr a few times. She appeared with Pumpuang as a child prodigy leading to daft rumours she was her secret daughter. Very distinctive voice, can't mistake her for anyone else, got lots of her albums.

Seen all these singers apart from Pumpuang and went to 2 of their funerals.???? Great collection of songs. Sunaree and Cathaleya are outstanding singers. Golden age of luktung. Left to right Pumpuang, Sayan, Fon, Monsit, Sunaree, Cathaleya, Santi, Kassem, Seri, Yodrak.

Waranuch Puttachart made about 5 albums from 2000 then suddenly disappeared. First for grammy was a double, so they must have thought a lot of her, great singer.

The girl with the golden voice, Sunaree Rachasima for Korat. Bought her tapes in 1994 but did not see her until 2003. She married a guy from the Netherlands, but that seems to have run it's course. Often seen these days on Tv as contest judge.

One of the most covered luktung songs, Kid Tung, Pee Mai by Sornkiri, killed in a car accident in 1972. Considered one of the best singer songwriters of his time.

Not seen Nok Noi for a few years, never a great singer but her shows are still good. Better when Mai Tai and others from the old days were still with her, she must be one with the longest career as she started when she was 13.

She looked old when I saw her in Khon Kaen maybe 15years ago.

Most underrated act Job and Joy from Ubon, probably would have done better at another label like top Line Diamond, used to love seeing these two.

The great Ew Pempeyom singing a cantonese song made famous by Teressa Teng. Ew was famous for singing in Chinese which she did very well, I think this is one of the few recordings in Englsih she did.

Don't know any Thai/Lao singer who bothers to sing Kantrum songs but Lamyai can, and like anything else does very well. Although from Roi Et she came to Bkk when young, I remember her when she was about 8 selling food at concerts helping her mum.
