The new 450-hp 911 Carrera S comes with a "Wet Mode".

Official Porsche importer AAS Auto Service will debut the new 911 Carrera S at the upcoming BIG Motor Sale 2019 running from August 16-25 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (Bitec).

The 911 Carrera S, priced at Bt11.5 million, is powered by a flat-six turbo engine capable of developing 450hp. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 3.5 seconds and the top speed is claimed at 309km/h.

Standard features include Porsche Wet Mode and 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management touchscreen.

Other models to be shown at the Porsche booth include the Macan, Cayenne E-Hybrid, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive, and the 718 Cayman, AAS stated in a press release today.

Customers placing orders at the event will receive the following:

- Porsche Tequipment package at special price

- Bt10,000 voucher and welcome package from Hugo Boss

- Cashback credit for those using SCB credit cards

- Up to 50-per cent discount on Porsche Driver’s Selection items

AAS is also offering a 9-year warranty for all models.

Is it possible to get a 20 million THB (or whatever this car costs) credit limit for a SCB credit card? In this case i might buy two.

which will help to wrap it around a lamp-post or tree and if none are available put it on its roof in a ditch ..

Which theoretically will message Porsche to say its been in an accident .. If it hasn't been smashed to bits in the aforementioned accident ..

Yawn! Another 911 that looks exactly the same as all the others they have made.

That´s the idea of Porsche and the reason why fans buy the 911.

It is only an uprated Volkswagen Beetle anyway. I've never understood the appeal of them - horrible interior, noisy and awful to drive.

Of course, you’ve driven plenty of 911’s and write of your vast experience.... or did you mean the VW Beetle, in which case you are indeed correct - horrible interior, noisy and awful to drive but vastly different from one of the most iconic vehicles in existence.... unless of course one is unable to escape their jealousy of others who may own one.

They are an acquired taste. 40 years ago i had a 911.Sportmatic declared as the silliest idea ever It was one of its best bits to me. Also if it went over gravel at 80 the noise on the floorpan made U Jump All in all still cant see much difference in todays version exept its stupid price today .But then ive not driven a new one.[emoji86]

Just what you need for Thai roads, The HiSo's will be buying them

and do a lot of damage.

There is nothing about Thai roads, specifically, that makes high-speed cars, sarcastically, "just what you need" as opposed to any other countries' roads.  With the exception of a few German roads no country, anywhere, allows the vmax of these cars to be used legally.

Yawn...another unoriginal 911 comment that is exactly the same as all the others from people who've clearly never seen or appreciated any 911.  Just because Jeremy Clarkson sarcastically says it, doesn't make it fact.

...from someone who demonstrates, very clearly, their sheer ignorance of 911s (or VWs!)

Which 911s have you driven?
