Sanook went to investigate at a hospital in Loei in north eastern Thailand after comments were made on Line groups that a nurse with no qualifications had worked in ER for eleven years.

The director at Pak Chom Hospital refused to give information and directed reporters to the police.

Kowit - the nurse - was not picking up his phone. He was not at work.

But the local health department admitted the story was true. They said that an investigation in June had revealed that the nurse had faked all his qualifications and had not in fact finished his degree at Khon Kaen university.

He admitted all this on August 20th, they said, and now faces a criminal prosecution for falsification of documents.

The university is also considering action against him.

True story , some 11 years ago I had the pleasure of a lady who was very popular at night. She really was out there , one might say biggest h......er. Then a year later I bumped into her again and she was working as a nurse in a new hospital .

No, she never finished any uni or college , did not even finish school.

she worked as a nurse for 2.5 years while in search of a boyfriend.

so this is hardly a one of incident but would appear to be common .

according to her, hospital was very short staffed and that is how she got the job

Sharp as tennis balls, aren't they!

"They"?

There's been fake doctors and a fake airline pilot in the West, so no justification to act so superior.

Fascinating,  11 years and none of his colleges have noticed any lack of skills, no patient complaints?

He may have been better than them!!!

You can get dodgy Rolex , footie-shirts and Viagra so fake nurses seems to be a reasonable progression ..

I would be surprised if the doctors or nurses attending me in hospitals are not fakes. You mean they have genuine real doctors and nurses? No, no, not possible because the whole country is fake, yes, Thailand being a fake country is not a surprise is it?

Come on, do I need to go on?

I am lucky I found a true woman my missus not one of those fake ones in Pattaya.

You do of course know all fake ones in Pattaya came from the real one’s you found ????????????

Once again Thailand is too slow to catch up with the rest of the world.

How about 20 years as a fake nurse in Quebec ....https://nationalpost.com/news/woman-fired-after-working-20-years-as-hospital-nurse-without-a-license

Pak Chom has a hospital?  I remember when it was just a wide spot in the road.  I don't think they even had a water supply (aside from the Mekong river) prior to about 1978.

no patient complaints

that is not necessarily a good thing in the ER services.... ????

however since no-one noticed for such a long time, a talented nurse apparently.
He should go to get a license and then back to work.
