Must be some one who works in Kuwait, because he has no resemblance to a Kuwaiti.

I disagree,he has,the typical features and body of a Gulf area Arab.

He is bearded and dark skinned and looks like an Arab. I worked in Kuwait and I cant say how sorry I feel for this guy!

Why do people even go to Pattaya?  I don’t see the draw.  Why even go to these bars???   Nothing good happens there.  Tourist and ex-pats alike constantly getting jumped by Thai bouncers for not paying padded bar tabs. Robbery is rampant.......   Here’s some friendly advice.  Nothing good happens at 2am in the morning.  Stay home and live longer.

Beat and rob someone and then sit on the beach waiting to get arrested. Dumb as they come.

It happens when junkies desperately need money for alcohol alcohol.

Expected nothing would come of it and they are right. Nothing will.

Thais are allowed to beat on foreigners with impunity. Goes double in Pattaya.

not alcohol ... drugs more like it. You don't beat and rob someone for a can of beer.

A Kuwaiti man was beaten during a robbery in Pattaya during the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Should have went to Koh Tao. Oh, never mind.

No value judgment, just personal observation and opinion

Was in Pattaya once about 15 years ago, was not very impressed. never went there again and never will.

The beach was dirty and unimpressive, there were a lot of bars , some street performers. , on walking street. I remember shops for tourists with Indians trying to sell me a suit and rolex watches. Not my scene

Don't know what it is like now

I can see how something like that  could happen there.

Those were the "good ol' days".

Cowards lifestyle? the Kuwaiti man was set upon by three Thai men , never one on one.

It was a mugging not a scheduled boxing bout!

I am astounded by either the arrogance or stupidity (or do they think the police as such buffoons) to do this, then go sit on the Beach nearby.

Soi 7 is two down from the Police station who would not be happy to be woken at 3.30 am.  After four or five hours banditry on the roads round Pattaya the police are too tired to be effective.  This is why they never arrest a taxi-driver not using his meter.

Going to pick up these guys is certainly a higher priority.....

How would you know...care to enlighten us on your comment...

I know how difficult it may be for you (and your fan club) to  understand but it simply means that the incidents that so many members here seem to think are exclusive to Thailand aren't.
