Through his designated agents and on false grounds, he coerced another nation into undermining the candidacy of a potentially powerful political opponent. That's what.

If Biden’s done nothing wrong, a full investigation could do nothing but help him, yes?

Solomon report. Lol

It does not even mention that there had been an FBI investigation into Manafort since 2014. Official investigation= no conspiracy.

I just checked it again, it's ridiculously innacurate.

Example

From Solomon

"Aug. 20, 2014

Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin’s office opens criminal investigation of Burisma Holdings and Mykola Zlochevsky for alleged corrupt award of gas exploration permits and eventual looting of company, according to Ukrainian prosecutor general’s case file."

Schokin was named general prosecutor in 2015, lol.

Quote from the unbiased timeline linked below:

Early February 2015 — U.S. administration conveys harsh criticism of prosecutor general office for its coverup of Zlochevsky/Burisma.

....Kent, who had long pushed Ukrainian prosecutors for investigations into Zlochevsky, “scolded” the deputy prosecutor for having “shut the criminal case” that had been the basis for a U.K. court freezing Zlochevsky’s assets, demanding, “Who took the bribe and how much was it?,” Kent asked.......

Feb. 10, 2015  – Viktor Shokin takes office as Ukraine’s prosecutor general, replacing Yarema.

Sept. 24, 2015 – U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt excoriates officials in the Prosecutor General’s Office for stymying anti-corruption investigations, including those involving Burisma.....Pyatt specifically called for the investigation and removal of officials who were involved in the failure to help the British authorities investigate Zlochevskiy.....

Etc.....

This article is typical for John Solomon. Lots of incidents listed but no actual connections drawn. You wouldn't know from this that Victor Shokin, the fired prosecutor, actually went after other prosecutors who were investigation other prosecutors in his department after it was discovered that they had mysteriously acquired large quantities of jewels and gold.

Or that he failed to prosecute any corrupt oligarchs during his tenure.

Or that it was confirmed from multiple sources that he had stopped looking into Burisma over a year before he was fired.

And as for Solomon himself. He confirmed Lev Parnas' statements that he met regularly with a group consisting of Giuliani, Parnas, Toensing and Digenova at the BLT restaurant in Trump's Washington hotel. He claimed he was there only as a reporter. That sounds believable. We have yet to see any reports on those meetings. Oddly reticent for a reporter. Or that he even identified these partisans as the ultimate sources or instigators of most of his stories on the Ukraine.

If an investigation warranted, that's what the Department of Justice is for.

A full investigation or any investigation of political opponents pushed by Trump and for his personal agenda is a farce and fake as his conspiracy theories.

No it's not, far from it. Are you confusing old style communism with socialism?

They aren't the same thing, not at all, and in any case old style communism has gone.

Would you call Australia, the UK, many Scandinavian counties, all of whom have some form / aspects of socialism (mainly health care) evil?

In your view I guess Australia, the UK, many Scandinavian counties are evil.

Thank you. I think you agree since you can't come up with anything that disproves that assertion besides that lame reply.

Investigation of what, he’s done nothing wrong.

Even Trump only wanted the Ukrainians to announce an investigation.

There is no crime to investigate.

My father despised the socialism of Denmark so much that he took his family to America in 1950's.

There does not need to be an underlying crime for him to be guilty of obstruction, right?

As the founding fathers noted, there doesn't have to be statutory criminal activity at all for a President to be impeached.  The Constitution gives very wide latitude to the House to decide what is impeachable.

You know, we had these discussions at home years back about how life would have been had we stayed in Denmark. Life would have been easier for my father in Denmark. I still don't believe a full blown socialist gov would work in the US.

How about Joe Biden promises to waive Executive privilege and testify, provided all the Trump people currently claiming Executive privilege do the same?

Care to give examples of full blown socialist western countries?

Is anybody suggesting the US should be a full blown socialist country?

So you concede there are degrees of socialism?  Good.  I assume you also agree that Social Security, Medicare, public schools etc. are also socialist.

Clearly the discussion is not about all-or-nothing discussion, but the correct degree of socialism.  So let's limit the socialism discussion to that.
