Best Hotel Deals In Thailand

Featured Replies

I'm heading to Bangkok next week, and with many of the hotels suffering, there must be some good deals to be had.

Where is the best website to go to find the best offers?

Thanks in advance

not so sure for the good deals

usualy thai logic is less customers = up the prices, then you can do the same money.

Depend on the level and the size of the hotel you are looking for.

More stars your hotel has, and more big it is, more good can be the deal

International high class big size hotels needs to have a good occupation rate

to cover the highs costs.

Be carefull sometimes a big promotion can hide a problem

like work in progress in the hotel or in the area, with a lot of

noise as a result. Still better to not book all the trip in advance

only 2\3 days to be sure everything is ok, then you can stay longer.

If you book and pay all your trip via a site like Agoda or Booking.com

and when you arrive they give you an old bedroom or in a poor part of the hotel, good luck to try to change it or get a refund, it's mission impossible!

good luck

and enjoy your trip

even if the exchange rates sucks a lot at the moment

the only time I see rates go down in a predictable way is during low season.

I am a Agoda VIP member because I use their website so much.

sometimes flash deals the morning of the day you want to check in.

go to trivago.com to compare prices - sometimes big differences between various booking sites

You are making a blanket statement that is false.

I have booked 100's of times on these sites and never had an issue with your claim or changing a room if necessary.

Yes i have probably been unlucky

or you have been lucky.

I have often had the worst place or the oldest room in the hotel

with a bad view, or near the elevator (Noise), and so on

with an advance booking. Of course they do not refuse to change

but they answer ''Sorry sir, it's not possible to change today, only this room is available''

And it makes sense, you have already paid, so you are a ''captive'' customer

they keep the best rooms for someone who comes at the desk and ask to see the

room first before to pay for it, and if the room seems not good he moves to the next hotel

Smoking rooms are sometimes the Shiite rooms.  I am Agoda vip, too...best I have seen.  Made them refund me for a room in Chiang Rai..once..out of a hundred ...fairly easy.  Don't go below three star, or a 7..and pay attention to comments about location.
