Turns out YINN is the 2019 POTY winner.

 

Even though members themselves can edit their member summary area (shown on each post) after a minimum number of posts I think it would be cool for there to be official POTY WINNER indicator done by the forum software to show on ALL of the POTY winners ever (when they're still posting).

 

Perks for actually winning  a POTY are few and far between.

 

It seems to me that would be at least something.

 

So what should it be?

 

Perhaps something like a flashing pink tiara?

Why not just let it rest. The number of members that didn't participate in this silly game far out number the members that did. Let it fade into the insignificance it deserves!

Who cares

I am sure the winner this year will be able to design something herself to show us all how important she is.

That leaves you with another year to think about this not so important issue.

 

How about something modest and discreet, to reflect the character of our POTY heroes ...

I agree with you. I saw my name come up in the early days but I am not really interested at all so I simply skipped over the POTY pages to something more interesting.

250 ish voters shows the importance most people place on it. 

 

Best not to get too carried away. 
 

If people are not interested and only criticise those that are, why bother commenting on the topic at all ?

It's not like you don't have other choices is it.

As with politicians, anyone who wants to be POTY is the last person that should be POTY.

I got one vote that wasnt me. Winner.

I took it upon myself to modify my avatar to show my tiara, which was given to Mr. Bitey and to modify my member description, which any member can do for themselves.  

I think it's up to each POTY winner to select the photo they think best shows themselves in their full POTY glory and use it as their avatar.  Here's one I took of JT that he could use:

Members vote for them because of their writing prowess on Thaivisa, so I thought maybe Top Writer Adjudged by Thaivisa, but that's a little long and cumbersome, so what about just the initials beside their name. ........... T. W. A. T.  ????
