Video: Carnage in a convenience store - Chinese tourist behind the wheel, beer bottles in car

Shocking footage from Phuket showed the moment a car smashed into a convenience store as three people were paying for items.

Two at least looked like foreign tourists.

Suddenly a woman is alerted by a noise but it is too late to get out of the way.

A car plows into the store and directly into the tourists.

Newshawk Phuket who had the footage said that a Chinese tourist was behind the wheel of a Toyota Innova with Bangkok plates.

The accident happened by a bend near the Kamala police station in Phuket.

They reported that lots of beer bottles were found in the car.

The tourists in the shop were injured but precise details were not given.

The accident appeared to have happened around 9.15 am on Wednesday.

Was he wearing a face mask?  And if so was it over his eyes?

The passenger gets out and checks how much damage was done to the car.

Classic!!

Sure hope those people are OK in the store.  Looked bad though.

Just dropped in to see if there are any discounts going today Mr shopkeeper...........:clap2:

This is taking the Chinese aggressive expansionist policy a bit too far!

Impressive. Hoping that the lady is not too seriously hurt ?

Classic!!

Classic Thaivisa poster over-embellishing what actually happened in order to have a bash.  Unless you've got a link to the video that shows what you claim, of course.

No sh*t! Half of the store ended up in there.

Kanchanaburi had a smash and grab (the toilet rolls) also, on Friday 13th

'that' would have been a backdoor hit? Image result for petrol station toilet

Perhaps he thought it was a drive through!

and I thought Toyota had a recall on all of it's cars in Thailand .... they didn't fix all the brake failure

they seriously should start moving the electronic scales closer to the road!!!

happened to me once in koh phangan, wanted to scale my bike(to make sure its BMI was in-tact)

and was also very close to crashing into SEVEEEEN.

Clearly, the dirty farang here at fault for paying their bill. if they would've ran without paying no one would've gotten hurt.

Very nasty for the female tourist. I would be surprised if she escaped serious injury. Was it raining at the time  ?

Anyway , hope she does not have to pay for any medical treatment as a result.
