Featured Replies

Afternoon all.  Mate's wife shopping in Tops today was told by a staff member that all alcohol sales will be banned for 30 days from April 1st. First thing I thought of was the good ol April fools day. But don't think rural Thais are into it. Anyone else hear any rumors ?

probably to stop people having large gatherings i.e parties and spreading the virus.

more than likely you will still be able to buy it at the mom n pop shops as always.

I just asked my wife and my stepson;

they haven't seen anything like it on Fastbook and his sister in law  Line;
yet they spend a large part of their life on these things.

Booze also lowers your immune system.

Alcohol affects the way health gut microbes interact with the immune system. Alcohol also disrupts the gut barrier, allowing more bacteria to pass into the blood. ... Excessive drinking reduces the number and function of three important kinds of cells in your immune system–macrophages, T and C cells.Dec 3, 2018

My local mom and pop store will still be selling alcohol ...... and the two local booze shops.

I panic purchased 2 bottles of rum last week, they'll last me another 15 days.

Maybe I should buy another 2 bottles just in case ..............

DON'T PANIC!

What would we all do without these rumours?!  Better to have something trivial to worry about than the end of the world as we know it.

Wife just returned from shopping with the same message.

And 2 bottles of whisky bless her!

But where can Mom & Pop buy it?

I reckoned this might be a possibility so purchased a few months supply last week.

Put them back we can't afford it she said.

A few aisles on she picks up a £20 jar of face cream and puts it the trolley. What you doing? I said, it makes my face look beautiful she says. I said so does 24 cans of beer and it's half the fxxxking price
