Best keep quiet about it mate, if it was forwarded to Anutin, he would advice Thais not to eat the food given so kindly by dirty farangs.????

The idiot will probably confiscate all the essentials on grounds they are 'infected', turn them around and then hand them out to the poor as if the items were his own. That's the exact kind of things lizards like him will do.

Shameful such Farangs don't seem to understand that they would NEVER be helped the same way.

What utter tosh! Open your eyes; farang are being assisted by normal people all over the country. Don't let the stifling policies of immigration cloud your judgement of the generosity of Thais. Get back under your bridge.

Would point out 45Kg bags of rice from the small shops work out much cheaper per kilogram, around a 20% saving.

A saving that could have bought even more rice. A typical beginner's mistake here, unless they were able to negotiate a special deal with Makro that we are unaware of. Humanitarian business is a science.

Very very commendable actions of these guys.  However, it would be nice to see some recognition from the authorities who have just banned the giving of free food unless done through a government agency.  This action was taken after the debacle outside the temple at Don Muang.

These farangs seem not to be concerned about small savings. Good on them!

Good on them but bad on potential beneficiaries that came away empty-handed.

I doubt this and other related articles concerning "Dirty Farrangs"...will receive TV media coverage...Let alone a grateful acknowledgement from Khun Anutin.

Good news travels slow, bad news travels fast. there are many foreigner who give away or the family of the foreigner does give away. like many farmers help other Thai and Foreigner too in the area we have a farm. Proving free rice, free vegetables, eggs and meat. they do this not now they do this already for many years.

Very nice to see such actions.

To improve even more the helping side, the groceries could be bought in some small shop or local rice seller. You could then help 2 times, first when you buy and second when you donate (as Macro is making huge money these days anyway).

Please, don't see this as a negative comment, your action is top notch.

Cheers

Go for it! ????

I took advice of TVF commenters and told bye to my Thai lady but sent her 3,400 BT two weeks ago for her birthday. She hasn't picked up the money yet. I don't think all Thai is that desperate.

Would be a whole different story if you send 13400 or 34000 then i would be picked up emediatly now she has a loss of face with your cheapcharly 3,400 for birthday . On the other hand if you would have send more she would have probably put out her line and hooked and sinked you again and you would have taken the bait for sure , looking at your name ????

Nobody in Thailand is dying of hunger. They may have to eat rice and fish sauce instead of KFC or Pizza but this isn't drought stricken Africa. Food is plentiful in Thailand and a meal can be made for a few baht

There's a nice text book response.

No instead many joked on Facebook groups they got a long holiday with free meals and bought alcohol for at their rooms. Thais love doing nothing, it aint no punishment.

Rubbish. Just shows the social circles you hang out in.
