The Ignore List

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

I've just been put on an ignore list by another TV poster. Woe is me, the sleepless nights I shall have to endure.

I've never used the ignore list myself. If I think someone is a d###head, I am sure I will remember them.

However, it does make me wonder about the attention span of TV posters who use the ignore list. As for the ones with long ignore lists- how many enemies do they think they have?

What do you think?

I don't. I do wonder, however, at posters who brandish the ignore function as if it was a sword.

No time for people who 'hate', or are 'sad' or 'confused'.

No sword brandishing, once you're gone, you're gone.

A small message to point out there's no longer any point of quoting my posts seems reasonable.

But there's many mentally ill posters who appear to still write messages to someone who'll never see them.

Most who make my ignore list appear to be banned a month or two later.

Although I have 3 pages of people on Ignore, less than 10 appear to be still active members.

Why not post all the names of the people that you have on ignore ?

You often tell me that you are putting me on ignore....................and then reply to my posts a few weeks later......................apparently not on ignore .

BTW, have you ever wondered why you have to put so many people on ignore?

Agree totally!

People with big ignore lists are narcissists who can't stand being wrong about anything. So they usually end it by saying " welcome to my ignore list ” as if that person gives a rats..to funny

Hover the cursor over the Avatar on the left of the post. A box appears, and at the bottom is a "ignore user" icon.

Personally I do not think I ever used it. If you do not agree with someone, just walk away, it is not as if it is real life anyway, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. That is what Forums are for isn't it?

I told him.

Actually my ignore list is very short, and quite often i remove posters from there after some time.

I started to use this function just a few months ago, normally i think that even the dumbest post has something which i can learn something from.

I don't like personal attacks, but i can get over it.

Still, i find some posters to be unpleasant a bit too often, then the ignore list becomes the best option.

I don't care, just curious as to how Lacessit knows.

Or get childish and abusive and then say "right, I'm done with this BS thread" ????

I have 2 on my list in 11 yrs... Most that have different views to me, even the ones that get childish and nasty, I enjoy reading their take on things and maybe on a different topic we actually agree ??

They would normally hit You with their Handbag or throw a Hissy Fit without the Ignore Button.

They tell you, as if it is some kind of punishment. Maybe I should have started a poll of those who cry themselves to sleep, and who breaks out the champagne.

Maybe try an experiment and put every single poster on the ignore list in the interest of brevity.

That would give the forum a fresh new appearance so that all the only thing visible would be the original post plus a sort of editorial comment from whoever is doing the ignoring.

This whole thread is so Jeremy Kyle.

I had to Google that.

i have three people on my list and they really had to <deleted> me off to get there.

i think of them as being in the dungeon of my castle while I am feasting with fare maidens.

What are you doing here? You said yesterday you were going to ignore me, remember? Do you have short-term memory problems?

Just ignore them.

It's spelled fair, unless you are eating them as well.
