Thailand's Constitutional Court to Decide on Move Forward Party's Dissolution on August 7
Democracy to flourish, Thais will have to fight for it. But This will not happen, Thais will just carry on "same same" and that's why Thailand will never be a Democratic country Stay as a third world county -

The Tim Walz thread.
I certainly agree with the first page of posts here. You guys have reason to be running scared. I thought I had lost my country, now? I am leaning to restored faith in the American electorate. If the vast majority turn out to vote in November, it will result in a solid rejection of Trump and his Project 2025 ilk. I will then be free to turn my pressure on the Democrat Party to do more in addressing the issues of the working middle class upon whom any hope of a participatory democracy depends. -

GOP Senators Say Trump Caught ‘Off Guard’ by Harris’s Momentum Following Biden’s Withdrawal
This is absolutely correct since women form the majority of the voting populace in the US, and this is something that neither Trump nor Vance seem to understand. It does not appear to me that either of them particularly like or respect women, and lack of respect for women resonates in so many of their speeches, and in so much of what they have to say. And I am not even referring to the bizarre "just grab them by the p***y" type comments. That was caught on tape. So was his statement to Epstein that "I like them really young, too". -

The last thing need is any interference from the US, they don't do anyone any good. Just ask the people of Liybia, Iraq or Syria. -

Brutal assault on Canadian raises serious questions about tourist safety in Pattaya
Perhaps we could consider some changes to the Beach Road area to make it more family-friendly. What do you think? Close the bars and make it an area for families to play and close it down for the night. -

EV Charging Stations (CS)
Well, back home in Bangkok now after a half day visit to the MIL today. That one Red Pin charger in the Muang Nakorn Pathom area was in use everytme I checked it using the app. And I drove by going to and from the MIL house and EVs were queued-up waiting to use the charger. But on the way back to my Bangkok home I came back an alternate way where I would pass two other Red Pin chargers.....and I got lucky one was available....I charged from 69% to 100%... Bt175 worth of free elecrons. And when I left two EVs were queued-up ready to take my spot. I now have three free chargings under my belts. If I can do this about 1,375 more times before the free charging campaign ends 3 Jan 2025 I will have recouped all the price-cuts since Oct 2023 when I bought my Atto. 😁- 1

Thailand's Constitutional Court to Decide on Move Forward Party's Dissolution on August 7
Can someone please explain why the King of Thailand (who was allegedly insulted and all that) can't step in and explain his position? Doesn't he have any moral authority for thai people at all to resolve this situation without some kind of disgraceful vote?- 1

Elderly Thai Woman Murdered and Robbed at Home in Chiang Rai
A murderer is on the run after killing a 71-year-old Thai woman in her home in Chiang Rai, a northern province, and making off with her gold necklace. The victim, Sa-ngiam Kunnana, was reported dead by her younger brother, Prasit Sanukun, 58, at Mueang Chiang Rai Police Station on August 6. Sa-ngiam's lifeless body was found in her house after Prasit and a neighbour broke in as there was no response from the inside. Prasit informed the police and the media outlet ThaiRath that Sa-ngiam was last seen attending a relative’s funeral on August 4, and was expected to be part of the cremation ceremony the following day, but she didn’t turn up. Prasit decided to check on her after the cremation finished around 3pm. Prasit, upon finding the house locked and unresponsive, suspected something amiss and took the help of the neighbour to break into the house. The police reported evidence of a theft and a struggle, with the killer leaving bloody footprints on the floor. Sa-ngiam usually wore three pieces of gold jewelry: a necklace, a ring, and a bracelet. According to the police report, only her gold necklace was missing, while her cash, amounting to 20,000 baht resting in her bedside table, was left untouched. Community leader Luan Piraban disclosed to the media that Sa-ngiam lived alone as her two children resided in Mahasarakham province and her granddaughter in Phuket. Her house being secluded, nobody heard any noises or calls for help. Piraban also mentioned that the community, shocked by the awful incident, had not experienced such crimes before. He also cautioned residents against wearing valuable jewelry to avoid drawing criminals' attention. While the suspect's identity remains unknown, the police are focusing their investigation on a 30-year-old local man with a drug history who vanished from the community a week before the crime. Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
In practise they are easily traceable.....Mastercard/Visa networks Thailand have copies of the transaction, as does the merchants bank, as does the central bank for forex purposes. Nobody is really interested however, unless its large scale evasion or fraud. -
