British politics is as stink as American.

Johnson should tell the guys shut the XXXX up and get on their life.

so he and his mates can get on with breaking the rules as they please.

He had relatives in London. The government are a shambles and have been for months. Practice what you preach, no exceptions.

  • Why should the masses listen to anything they are told to do when these jerks think that the rules do not apply to them. People should just go out and do what they want. Same as that tosser

As is trial by media.

Cummings could resolve this immediately. Just put him in front of a camera with a journalist and let him answer the pertinent questions regarding his movements and the reasons for them.

It is odd that he does not do that is it not?

Does anybody else see a correlation between the left losing the Brexit referendum and the 2019 General Election and the need to strap Dominic Cummings to the whipping block, yesterday it was Nigel Farage, who will it be tomorrow?

Won't do Boris any favours, other politicians in different countries who were caught out had the decency to resign.

Boris hasn't been caught out & Cummings isn't a politician.

So the 15 conservative MP's calling for Cummings to resign are left wing remainers?

The Daily Mail is calling for Cummings to resign or be sacked because it is a left wing remain supporting newspaper?

I think it is just you who sees some kind of conspiracy here.

Stephen Kinnock didn't resign, I think you'll find he's still a MP.

15 MPs out of 365, hardly an overwhelming majority. And I'm guessing the 15 you mentioned probably have an ulterior motive for doing so anyway. Not convincing rookie.????

If you play with fire you will get burnt. Nothing sad, politics is a hard game, he should have fired Cummings. It's the British tradition, when you get caught out then you do the honourable thing and resign or get sacked.

The merits of the above are somewhat muted by the complicit nature of this MSM pile on; absence of journalistic due dilligence & likely breach of PACE/GDPR etc by the likes of plod for political gain by the left in order to secure a scalp.

It sticks out like bulldogs wotsits.

Nothing I say or Cummings does will convince you though will it?

What is the Daily Mails ulterior motives then?

They're only 37% of the party therefore they don't count ????

No, the subject has nothing to do with Brexit and Cummings is being roundly criticised by people from across the political spectrum.

Apart from the feeble whataboutary, Cummings is not an MP, he's a hired employee.

Though of course many believe him to be the de facto PM.

Why should anything you say convince me, are you an oracle or a wise old sage or something. For 4 years you have been deriding the Conservatory Party, you are hardly going to say anything positive about them now are you. ????

There was absolutely no excuse for him to travel to Durham especially with him being in his position and him or his wife having the virus.

One phone call to No. 10 and he would have got all the help he needed whether it be child care food deliveries or health care.

He was in a privileged position unlike the rest of us peasants yet he seems the think the rules don't apply to him.

It stinks makes Boris look weak like he has no backbone or perhaps Cummings has something  on him he doesn't want to get out.

Indeed. I saw the photos of the scrummage around Dom outside his home. Are reporters not supposed to observe social distancing also?? Rhetorical question, while ginning up false hoaxes to bash the govt they of course can not catch covid! Go figure.

I do hope the Cummings' autistic child has not been stressed by this lates hatefest by the left. Bullying autistic kids is right up their alley. Shocking and sad in equal measures. Don't give in to them Dom. Never give in to them.

Given the mob-handed rugby scrum & total disregard for the same rules they're claiming he broke and frightening the life out of his 4 yo child what did you expect?

Lol; from a poster who labeled DC a psychopath in the same thread ????

The reason Boris must defend Cummings is I suspect because he sanctioned the trip. If this comes out it becomes the BIG story.

Cummings is seen as a contractor by the elected elites which partly explains why he’s despised but for the righteous to criticize Cummings is hypocritical.

The truth is, thousands in every town and city paid little heed to any of the so called rules.

  • Popular Post

Trial by media is pronounced in today's world, and not the better for it. IMO, Cummings broke the government's published rules, and should have been fined at least. Whether that should extend to a resignation or sacking is up to the PM.

What is clear, though, is the UK government are incompetent on all levels regarding the Coronavirus management, and the general population is becoming less entranced with johnson's ability to lead them through it safely. Cummings' actions being a an 'in your face' example of government resolution weakness.

Which is pretty clear that when the next GE is held, it will no doubt be a shoo-in for Keir Starmer - to which I look forward.

Its the British people who want answers and the press trying to provide those answers. Cummings has made no comment whatsoever, arrogant in the extreme.

With the Daily Mail and the Telegraph trying to obtain those answers indicates that its nonsense that the British people are divided on party lines on this issue. Thousands of families have found themselves in the same situation but managed to get by without travelling the length and breadth of the country and breaking one of the primary rules in isolation "Please remain at your primary residence, do not travel to a secondary residence".

Those thousands of Brits deserve and demand an answer as to why it was allowable for Cummings to break this fundamental rule but not them.

And don't give me the old, "he could get more support for his son in his aged parents residence than in his London town house". His wife's brother lives nearby, No 10 staff would have been ordered to do his bidding and I'm sure he has friends nearby. At the time home delivery services were rampant in the area, Michelin starred restaurants within walking distance of his home who were doing home deliveries. Ocado, the high end online supermarket were doing brisk business in Notting Hill, from the Middle class luvvies. He could have continued to live the life that he had become accustomed to had he stayed at his primary residence.

By his own admission, via Downing St. statements, the family self isolated in adjacent accomodation as soon as they reached his parents house and had contact with no one for 14 days other than his sister and niece leaving food at the door. He couldn't have got the same assistance if he'd stayed at his home in London?

The real reason for him relocating to Durham? It would have been too risky for him and his family to have strolls around Notting Hill or Hyde Park for fear of being recognized. far safer for he and his family to stroll around Barnard Castle, the sleepy and picturesque Durham market town, popular with tourists, whilst they played out their isolation.
