PHUKET:-- A former police officer who disappeared 17 years ago after being accused of luring his then 13-year-old neighbour to his house to engage in indecent sexual acts has finally been caught.

In 2003, Kittisak “Petch” Kuttachon was working as an officer at Tha Chatchai police station when it emerged he seduced his 13-year-old girl female neighbour and lured her into his house to engage in “pornographic” activity. It was not specified what exactly this entailed other than the man “hugging and kissing the girl,” according to police reports.

On discovering their daughter in a state of deep distress, the parents of the girl uncovered what had happened and reported to the incident to Tha Chatchai police. A subsequent warrant from the court was issued for Kittisak’s arrest on the grounds of taking a child under the age of 15 away from her parents for indecent purposes.

Well better late than never, justice moves very slowly here,

regards Worgeordie

It does say he ran away at the time, or disappeared.

Amazing how easy it is for people in Thailand to change their name, usually because they are guilty of something. No questions asked.

Or did they have to wait for him to retire before anything seriously was done?

It's for any foreigners, it's not exclusively for farangs.

It's easy in most countries, no questions asked there, either.

No, they're not.  Japanese "farangs"?  Chinese "farangs"?  Korean "farangs"?  Malaysian "farangs"?  Indonesian "farangs"?  African "farangs"?  Indian "farangs"?  Middle Eastern "farangs"?

Jin = Chinese, Nippon = Japanese, Gowlee = Korean, Kairk = Indian/Arab

As far as I know only Caucasians get called farang, and that's no matter what their nationality.

My kid is a Caucasian Thai ...... but still 'farang'.

A girl female neighbour: guess, what would have happened, if it had been a boy female neighbour, or a girl male neighbour...

Not true, if you put it in Neutral. ????

Have you ever noticed that the only police, govt. or army people who are pursued here are ex officials? Never current ones, as they are all above the law. Any and all laws.

And the ones who are pursued are a pinhead of the guilty ones.

Between 2013 and 2015 the Chinese arrested over one million officials and businessmen for corruption. The Thais? Maybe ten? And did any of the Thais end up prosecuted and actually spend time in prison? The world takes the judicial system in Venezuela more seriously than here.

Thank the Good Lord for that!!
