Totally agree that masks are scientifically proven to be a preventive. No argument there.

 

My question though is particular to Thailand. No cases here in 30 days, that's twice the normal incubation period. So are masks really necessary anymore?

 

I just hope it doesn't become the new normal. Because it really isn't normal to be up and about masked. Again repeat I have zero issue wearing a mask when there's risk of infecting or being infected. But that's not the case here anymore.

You are completely correct. But some people miss their booze and sex so much that they don't care about such things. Dangerous egoistic idiots. Many of them even don't use condoms.

The volume of debate on wearing a mask is absurd in the extreme. It’s a mask that’s all, it’s not difficult to wear.

The US has made it political, they quote constitutional rights, freedom, god, it’s a flippin mask!

Or let's even include those who are infected but don't have symptons, unaware about infection, and aren't in quarantine or hospital, and aren't coughing, sneezing. It'll be some, let's say, 10 times of a bigger number. Yet, it'll still be: (100%-99.9...9%) * 10 ===~~ 0.0..1%, namely 99.9..9% who don't need masks.
