Didier Raoult has been saying this from day 1 and his numbers prove it.  South Korea and China have also been using this protocol.

Someone else seeing great success is Dr Zelenko in NY.  He added zinc to the protocol and says that zinc is the mechanism that actually kills covid.  HCQ opens up the pathway for zinc to get in and do it's work.  

 

Sure seems like HCQ debate is nothing but a political and headline grabbing issue and all the work done in China, South Korea, France and elsewhere is overlooked.

The last paragraph is a very funny way of saying "azithromycin killed some patients who  were on HCQ"

  No, it doesn't say that, no researcher would assume that. There is a very small (2.3 percentage point) difference and more research would be needed to see why; might simply be a statistical fluke.

While meeting the test for statistical significance, the difference in mortality between the intervention and control group is modest. Especially when the confidence interval is taken into account, at which point there is less than a 7 percentage point difference.

 

 Definitely not a panacea or the "game changer" it had been hyped up to be but this study suggests that it might -- emphasize might -  provide a small reduction in mortality if given early.

It will also be important to study the effects of receiving both hydrochloroquine and dexamethasone in severe COVID

              13 % on HCQ died (sounds good,  doesn't it? )

Last par.: 20 % on HCQ plus azithromycin died

 

That doesn't look good for azithromycin. Sounds like azithromycin takes away a lot of the benefit of HCQ.

But as I said, convoluted. 

This is a sample, It is the Confidence Interval that is important.

 

And even for the CI, there is 5% possibility that actual figure is outside that range.

 

As the researchers say, it is necessary to reproduce these results on a larger scale in prospective trials before firm conclusions can be made.
