Overall, pooled estimates of all-cause mortality for the countries in the EuroMOMO network have now returned to normal levels, following a period of a very substantial excess mortality observed in some countries coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic. However, a few countries are still seeing some excess mortality.

 

Pro lockdown people will say it's because of lockdowns, but if that were the case, deaths would be spiking again.

This thing is not over yet... Look at what's happening in the U.S. when restrictions were lifted too early.  Look at what the University of Washington is forecasting for the UK on the assumption that restrictions continue to be lifted. Follow the red line.

Mortality during lockdowns should be a bit under the average. Other respitory diseases are inhibited too, and they are one of the leading causes of death worldwide.
