July 10, 20205 yr Does anyone know any companies that offer this 100 000 dollars Covid-19 insurance that is currently required by the government to re-enter Thailand? Thanks.
July 10, 20205 yr Are the lack of responses an indication of how many people are coming? ???? Anyway, I would contact your embassy or Thai embassy or health insurer and ask. Otherwise, hopefully you can get and answer I am sure there are policies, but most that I have seen require you to live in Thailand when the policy is written. Certainly won´t help those who are not.

Yeah it all sounds difficult to me. Have been sent a few red herrings. In discussion with my private health insurer. Not positive anyone is actually willing to cover pandemics lol. And most helpfully the Thai consulate in Perth still remains closed.
July 11, 20205 yr There is a list on another current thread, I think in the visa sub forum. Geoblue was one of them. I ran a quote through at age 61 for 4 months nearly 500usd
July 11, 20205 yr Author My insurance provider has assured me I will be covered so mods can close this one . Thanks to those that replied.
July 11, 20205 yr Popular Post I contacted this company Insubuy: https://www.insubuy.com/ ... here was the quote. I confirmed this covers Covid19. Lesser time frames, less than 6 months are available. 52 years old for "Save Travels Outbound Cost Saver" $500,000 in coverage/$250.00 deductible world-wide outside of home country coverage was $622.00 for 6 months. Can be renewed in 6 month increments. Same policy at a $2500.00 deductible dropped the price to $435.00 for six months. The following is not an endorsement or recommendation for any particular company. The information only serves as a sample of companies which were used by other applicants. The information in parentheses pertains to whether or not the companies were able to provide a statement showing acceptable proof of coverage meeting the requirements above. Allianz Care (statement did not specify coverage amount, COVID-19 coverage, coverage in Thailand, and duration of coverage) Trawick International (statement met requirements) Seven Corners (statement met requirements) Thai Setakij Insurance Public Company Ltd. (Thai company) (statement met requirements but the company might not issue the policy for the duration of your stay as required) Pacific Cross Health Insurance PCL (Thai company) GeoBlue Travel Insurance (statement met requirements) TripMate – World Nomads (statement did not specify COVID-19 coverage or confirm coverage in Thailand) AIG Travel Guard (policy does not state COVID-19 coverage) AETNA (applicants report it is difficult to obtain a policy statement that satisfies the COE requirements) Kaiser (applicants report it is difficult if to obtain a policy statement that satisfies the COE requirements)
July 13, 20205 yr I wonder exactly what the Thai authorities at Immigration actually need to see on arrival in respect of COVID-19 Insurance.I note that returning PRs are required to show COVID 19 insurance cover. I'm sure I'm not alone in having a good health insurance policy from a well known international company which provides full cover for hospitalisation. However I don't know if this by itself would satisfy the Thai authorities since there's no specific reference to COVID 19 (though it would definitely be covered) Just hypothetical at the moment but it would be interesting to know.

Indeed, i got a good insurance from ACS too with far higher cover then needed for COVID. Probably its not good enough as the authorities would have to check the insurance. Maybe if our insurers could give out a letter stating COVID is included or something like that.

Yes I was thinking along the same lines. i.e. that our insurance provider could provide an appropriate side letter that would satisfy the Thai authorities. To be honest I'm not that hopeful not because the insurance providers want to be unhelpful but because their internal procedures would require lengthy analysis/legal opinions etc etc. I have no early plans to travel so hopefully in six months or so it won't be an issue.

Same issue here with a well-known company that provides coverage well in excess of the required minimums but the provider just will not mention Covid-19 in the coverage description. The only statement they are willing to provide is a general description but unable (prohibited?) from mentioning any particular illness.

Regency offer this additional letter.
