I was doing some 'field research' in Pattaya a few nights ago and noticed that the majority of the sample (working girls) are not concerned about catching

the Covid-19 virus.  99% of them are not wearing face masks and don't care about social distancing. 

 

In my conversations about covid 19 with various sample of P4P girls I noticed that most of them say either 'this is thailand' or 'we dont have corona here' or 'I have been here x yrs and never been sick'. 

 

If the esteemed government relaxes the entry requirements and allows tourists to return, I speculate there will be a huge second wave of infected people. I believe this because there is a large cluster of ignorant uneducated girls who have no idea about the risks of this pandemic- all of whom have intimate relations with their customers being part of their job description. 

 

Its duly noted that once a vaccine is created and everyone has taken it then there is nothing to worry about...

It's the police that should be doing their job by regularly checking bars in Pattaya.

Those girls and boys also don't care for HIV.....they are Thai.

How does that work, if one person is vaccinated are they protected, yet those who choose not to be vaccinated are still able to infect them?

How many have been infected from not wearing "masks" - magical things that they are now considered to be, not long ago they were close to worthless!

Just to be clear, are you referring to the ladies, or their customers?  It takes 2 people to spread a disease.

There needs to be some teamwork of course ???? Some customers don't have anything to lose anymore and also the other side. It is a strange world.

Have been living here very long and know some girls working not in bars. At the moment most of them don't have a job and so no income. Even before the income wasn't very high. But not a single one of them would ever work as a prostitute.

Many moved back to their families or friends. They can't pay rent. Some landlords accept this. Some kicked them out. I think it is a completely wrong view to think if a girl is poor she will work as prostitute. Some yes but the big majority not. It is wrong to come to a place like Pattaya for instance and think the rest of Thailand is the same.
