Phuket resort denies rumours of shutting down

The operator of Zenmaya Phuket Resort has denied online reports that the resort had shut down, explaining that it was closed for renovation and rebranding.

Pravit Chinprasert, the managing director, urged both financial institutions and customers to check information about the resort via phone instead of believing online rumours.

He said the resort was waiting for its new board with the new name, and could be reopened within this September.

why not just paint the name on for now ....

A search online finds that the previous website for Zenmaya Phuket (Under U Hotels) is unavailable with a 404 error and no listing for Zenmaya. "The operator of Zenmaya Phuket Resort has denied online reports that the resort had shut down" without stating who the current operating company is how are you able to find their phone number as neither it (nor a web address) was listed in the article? Why do these people get so irate about "rumours" if they don't publish info in case somebody may wish to stay their resort?

Most likely because they're negotiating with a new management company. Till that is sorted they can not accept bookings.
