Girl, 11, allegedly sexually assaulted in school toilet by teacher

The mother of an 11-year-old girl in Kalasin province has filed a police complaint on Thursday (August 20) accusing a 57-year-old homeroom teacher of sexually assaulting her daughter and offering Bt200,000 in exchange for not filing a complaint.

 

The woman reportedly told at Kham Muang Police Station that on August 11, she found her daughter behaving strangely after coming home from school.

 

When questioned, the girl revealed that she was sexually assaulted by a teacher while she was in a toilet. “She said the teacher climbed into her cubicle from the adjacent teachers' cubicle and grabbed her body and covered her mouth while trying to rape her,” the woman told police. “Luckily my daughter managed to shake him off and escaped.”

 

 

The woman added that after her daughter told her about the incident, she took her daughter to a hospital for a physical check-up, which confirmed the alleged assault. She contacted the school and had a meeting with the school principal and the homeroom teacher, who offered her money to hush up the matter. But she refused and decided to file a police complaint.

 

Phantarak Pholteu, director of Kalasin Elementary Education Office, said that he has set up a committee to investigate the incident as well as sent a psychologist to talk to the girl and family members. He also ordered the transfer of the homeroom teacher to Elementary Education Office until the investigation is completed.

Typical reaction of a rural school's officials and teachers, they are hotbeds of incompetence, corruption and often sexual exploitation. Too may reports like this keep surfacing and have done for many years.  Thank goodness the girl escaped the clutches of this maniac.  The Mother is quite right to pursue it, well done to her.

hmm .... should have dismissed him immediately until the investigation concludes and punishment announced.

Yes it's word against word but he offer money! And if can read story right way, teatcher offer money when school director(don't have principal here) was present at moment!

What disgusting, disgraceful individuals, seems to happen with too much frequency! Why could'nt the filthy pervert just go and buy it, there is no shortage of sellers!

Well done to the mother for not accepting the money and I only hope that the police get of their backsides and get this peado banged up, the other prisoners will do a far better job than the police

I know of at least one school where the girls never are alone!!!They are protected by other girls,

i was told one teacher there is always trying to touch young girls but they(the students)have been on to him for a long time.

The girls never go to the toilets alone,always in a group.

Still they have to wai these vermints.

No wonder kids are slowly starting to talk back at teachers and record everything.

Just wondering how many of such cases are going unreported, unchallenged and covered up, quite a number of them one would suspect...

Full marks to the mother to take this to the (possibly corrupt) police, instead of taking what must have been a tempting amount of money!

Good on the mother for not taking the money. That is a huge amount of money in a country with many people only earning 9,000 baht a month. I hope the teacher goes to jail for a long time. The other prisoners will deal him a fully just sentence.

Could be signs of bruising, scratches, torn clothing, etc...  Maybe even some bodily fluids, depending on how far the guy got before the girl escaped.

Think for a moment the injuries and bruising that an attempted rape might give rise to. The fact that the alleged perpetrator was not able to gain full penetration does not mean that he did not leave significant marks or injuries consistent with a sexual assault.

why would you dismiss someone without proof.

moving him to a place where he can't harm anyone until the investigation is complete is the correct procedure. always.

Same as the Catholic church move the vile offenders on so as they can carry on abusing innocent children. Should have suspended him no pay until charges a proven .By offering 200,000 baht guilt is a sure thing here string him up.

I would have thought that he offered a settlement seemingly in front of the school director should have been enough proof, or maybe the school director is also a paedo, as i'm sure that in most schools in the world the school director would have immediately called the police and had him carted off.
