Yeah, right? Out there? Where would you think it would happen?

Factories have been moving around for ages. Nothing new. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic that has lasted for about half year. Only that will make a lot of companies rethink their plans and strategies.

Not sure whether you joke, are your referring to Thailand.

Sorry to hear that if you want a Thai DL.

My son has colour blind problems but can still drive in UK and here with his UK DL.

In Thailand I've seen in our DLT people being helped with the colour chart thing I have no problem with it.

UK not invent internet. Or Australia.

But Thailand

During the last 20 years, Thailand has manufactured 40% of the world’s hard disk drives, and it continues to be 2nd largest exporter of air conditioners and washing machines. Among the other major export products include integrated circuits, broadcasting equipment, telephones, computers and many other kinds of electrical appliances and equipment. Around 70% of all output in this sector is bound for export. There are approximately 400 manufacturers in this sector.

We build high speed train system in Thailand. Make ourself.

Can make submarine sure. But cheap worker in China can do it.

Thailand successful use cheap labor, from Burma, Laos, Philippine, Cambodia.

'world leader in concrete zebras , mostly for domestic use'

Is that to scare off Thai ghosts, as after all a zebra is just a horse wearing pyjamas, so is used to night work.

I have never succeeded in finding out what the story behind the Zebras is.

No Thai has ever given me a plausible explanation. There used to be about 400 lining Sanam Bin road in a massive herd before the local authorities took them all away. Some were doll size others full size.

Much better than most Toyota cars. But then pretty much every European car is better than a Toyota.

Many years ago I was stationed in Morocco and was provided a Peugeot 403 to drive around in.  To this day, the seats in that car were the most comfortable I have ever had in an automobile

No Joke. I have had a Thai licence for over 10 years, but have to cheat every time it's renewed, ie another falang has whispered the colour to me as the tester points at them. I'm Australian and a colour blindness test isn't required for a driving licence, same as in most countries.

Chev car/pickup is rubbish.

Chev have terrible service, long time fix simple job. Famous for terrible. I think problem is USA manager stupid.

Nissan quite good. Good service. Japan manager clever. Japan is number one foreign companys in Thailand.

UK car, eg Jaguar, MG look good, expensive. But broken easy. Is rubbish. Benz, BMW, Audi expensive same, but good quality/strong.

Toyota best car, easy, cheap and strong.

Mitsu best air condition.

Honda quite good.

ThaiRung so so.

Thailand start to make EV. Will be good.

thailand number 1 in SEA. Win again.

Thailand has been a stronghold for automobile manufacturing for decades. It nicknamed itself "the Detroit of Asia," and the moniker stuck, with good reason. It's currently the 12th most industrious auto manufacturer in the world, and the largest in Southeast Asia.

Japanese makers like Toyota and Mitsubishi have had operations in Thailand since the 1960s. GM, Ford, Mercedes and BMW all followed.

internet is primarily a transport network whilst www is an application that can be realised

on virtually any network

Guess who invented "the train"  and who had the first underground trains ?

Well if it wasn't for another Englishman.

Quote

Alan Turing was a pioneering mathematician widely considered to be the father of modern computer science.

His revolutionary idea was to create a machine that would turn thought processes into numbers. The machine would read a series of ones and zeros from a tape which described the steps needed to solve a problem or task. It took nine years for technology to advance to the point where a machine could be built to test his ideas - and it worked. Today all the digital computers that we use work on this same principle.

Or the first person to build a computer. Full sized rplica on display at Manchester University.

"We could argue that the first computer was the abacus or its descendant, the slide rule, invented by William Oughtred in 1622. But the first computer resembling today's modern machines was the Analytical Engine, a device conceived and designed by British mathematician Charles Babbage between 1833 and 1871."

What Thailand does not get is the mention it deserves sometimes as far as some of the other homegrown vehicles go .. so if you're in the market for a light half breeze block / half charabanc truck that max's out at 20 mph , can be repaired roadside with a stick and bottle opener and requires ear defenders to drive then the Etan could be just for you ..
