Probably the hospital started burning it's rubbish judging by the results at the other locations illustrated on your map.

OP What was your carbon footprint for the past 6 years?  You can not complain about the environment unless you have your carbon footprint under control.

I was a bit surprised at the bad air as I hadn't been paying attention to the AQI lately due to the rain.  It's amazing how a few sunny days can bring back the crappy air so quickly.  Doesn't bode well for the dry season.

Smell of burning from couple of areas between Hangdong and Nam Phrae this morning. Early start this year.

Not to worry though the ptb will have it all in hand.

I haven't been able to see Doi Suthep from my house in San Kamphaeng for the past few days due to poor visibility. Considering that this is the holiday weekend with lots of possible domestic tourists, I'm sure that they won't be best pleased with the poor air quality curtailing the vistas.

In SK, the AQI PM2.5 has peaked in the red (150-200) on a number of occasions in the past 48 hours.

In Chiang Dao lots and lots of burning, many thick plumes of smoke. They harvest the lamyai by cutting off the ends of all the branches, then burn them

later,  mostly while still wet and/or green.

Same outside CM city, around San Kamphaeng & Lamphun.  But that was the last few weeks when plenty of rain to clear the air.

Burning Of Lamyai prunings continues in Chiang Dao. There certainly might be other sources or reasons for the crappy air,  my wife thinks so.

Why do we need yet another thread on Air Pollution.  The topic is pinned to the top of the forum.
