You seem quite joyous about it , as do quite a few people on this forum .

No, Covid-19 is everywhere, it's better to admit that you have it rather than hide it for the sake of hoping rich tourists will arrive, "Amazing Trusted Thailand", get the jist.

There have always been cases in Thailand. The only place that I have come across someone with symptoms was in a Thai bar just off Ratchada soi 17 in March, a girl with a persistent cough.

  • think there is a problem here ?????

Errmm Thailand has just admitted it has a case , first confirmed case in 100 days .

That shows there's been no cover up , otherwise they wouldnt have released  the info .

Yes, Thailand has admitted they have a case, what more do you want ?

The sound of Thai face blowing to smitherines is always a cause for some most excellent Schadenfreude. It's a self acquired cultural handicap that should be exploited at every chance, until they finally decide to get rid of it.

Of course the real situation has always been what it's been, behind this 100d charade.

I don't think anyone's joyous about it but relieved that its finally been confirmed, it was an absolute impossibility that Thailand was covid free. Now that this is in the open we know that local community transmission is also around.

What nobody wants however at least I hope is for all those blanket lockdowns, lets have some smart contact tracing, quarantine and let the country carry on. Otherwise this will be a never ending circle of lockdowns, this is not going away till there is herd immunity from a vaccine and through natural infection.

Ya know,  if this is really as bad virus as prescribed, a good number if not all the other 34 in same cell should be positive over next 2 weeks.

If not, well, I guess they were just lucky.....

You really are naive, somehow they have managed not to have a case for 100 days and their testing is patchy at best. Countries like South Korea and Hong Kong are miles ahead with testing and track n trace, they still have new cases.

Rather than patchy, one might say, consistently low...

I don't think anybody really cares about a day count, except when trolling in TVF. It's blatantly obvious only the very furthest remote regions in the world could be covid free. Certainly not a country that welcomed millions from ground zero.

No, it's all in your mind. I would suggest a bus trip, see some scenery.

Don't forget that he worked as a DJ at several venues and has been in contact with god knows how many people and there's the person from whom he contracted the virus still at large and possibly a "super spreader",remember those? Those insidious humans that get labelled as some sort of filthy criminal?Anyway the contact tracers will have to do some work now.

When you fall off the wagon just remember a day at a time

I was only ever wrong once,I thought I was wrong but it turned out I was right! ha ha ha!

Guess my GF and I better quarantine ourselves for the next 14 days, We had been to the bars on Khao San road 3 times and to the one little disco they have the weekend of the 20th to the 22nd, enjoying the wine bar and the week before we were in the Rama 9 clubs as well.  Guess we will wait for the contract tracing to work its way to us.  Funny thing is when I went to the Mall today in Silom, i got a 403 Forbidden pop up when I tried to log into the Thai Chana App.  Uh-Oh

No problem. I am sure there the records from the 'Thai Channa' app have all been stored correctly for the past 3 -6 weeks for the locations this gent worked in, making tracing simple and easy. ????

That's what freedom of speech looks like. Might be difficult to recognize for somebody who's never had it, so I'm helping a bit.

Here we go again. This'll send the whole damn country into conniptions if he's positive.

Well, they've solved the unemployment problem. Now they'll need 100M people to decipher the written logs. And to figure out how the hell Mickey Mouse could be in 100 places at the exact same time.

I posted it on Facebook on Sunday, got some like for sure. I stumbled across it whilst looking at videos from the Freedom protest on Saturday.

Stock up on booze boys. The only logical reaction to this is to ban alcohol and keep everyone at home for a month.

All in the name of national security of course.
