I don't think that there is a lot of finance on an old banger.

While I do not agree that most all Thais are cheaters, I do agree that the Avanza would be a great choice, and for the same reasons.

What a ridiculous generalization. All the car salesmen I dealt with in the UK were thieves.

Here's some from FB marketplace....

There is one Sport Rider but slightly over 200k....It's possible that the price can be negotiated....

What is a ridiculous generalization?

Personally, try not to trade with thieves. I've had pretty good luck with most every car purchase I've made, and I've made plenty.

Oh, sorry, I misread. I thought you said all Thais WERE cheats.

I've had no problems here with buying cars.

I train for IGP dogsport, I am currently working in Ayutthaya. I train close to my house for now but will need a car later to find tracking fields and to travel to competitions.

Here's some obedience from a while ago ????

Thanks, The SPORT RIDER looks very roomy, more than enough space for a crate....What advantages would you say this has over the Avanza since the Avanza would be a few years newer in terms of the production year?

The Sport River is on a pickup platform, the Avanza is on a sub-compact platform.

Strength, size factor more than anything else....Mechanically & construction, gearing, which is important depending on load(s) & hilly terrain ....

I'm more familiar with an Innova, which is a step up from the Avenza & the Innova wasn't much....The Avenza only has a 1300 engine.....One time in the Innova a tricycle/motorcy with side car bumped me in the rear at a stoplight....Thought nothing about it until I looked = ripped right through the rear bumper - needed to be replaced....That didn't leave me impressed strengthen wise....

I get 10-12 MPL so it's not the most economical vehicle - but I've had it loaded with camping gear 5 adults up Doi Inthanon....7/8 family members on short outings & it actually seems to be stronger/solid under loads.....

Servicing = probably about even.....

Admittedly, I'm an SUV guy....

One possible + for your puppy I didn't think of - rear air....

One is body on frame SR - the other is a unibody construction Avenza.....
