Recently we got another car but for sentimental reasons, didn't part ways with my old one. Love it to bits but it's clear now we won't use it. Wife is sticking to hers mostly and I usually take the new one.

It's a bit on the long side for my kids first car too.

So how on earth do I find out what the going price is for a car based on model, age mileage?

Any official guides?

There is no official book like in the West that tells you approximate

value of a vehicle,based on model,condition,and mileage,so just take

it to one of the sellers of 2nd hand cars, and you will get some idea,

anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Take a look a second hand car yard as to what they are asking for your model give or take, deduct 30-40% of the asking price and you have  ballpark figure price for yours...

How much will an insurance company give you if you get it written off is a good idea of price,  never mind silly prices asked for by many motors in ads.

just tell tv what it is, make model, year milage etc, and one of the tv expert will soon inform you

lol - you do know that is asking for trouble but whatever....

BMW 528i M Sport

Purchased August, 2014

120km on the clock

Recent new tires all round.

Full service, obviously.

My brother in law said "1.5 million" and I said "not a chance" - thought around 600k

This website can give you a rough idea of what your car is worth https://www.thanachartbluebook.com/index.asp#

It's in Thai but not hard to navigate with Google translate.

Thanks, here's what I got:

This seems a bit much. There seem so be just one 528i on one2car, a 2016 with 30km - that's 1,690,000.

Bizarre.

Assuming you bought it new I would think 600K way low. If you're not in a hurry post it up for 1.5M, if it doesn't sell lower it a 100K at a time.

If it's not beat up I'd pay 600K for it and don't need it,
