Video: "Dead all over again" - corpse falls out of faulty rear door into rush hour traffic

A faulty rear door has been blamed after a rescue foundation dumped a dead body on Sri Nakharin Road, Samut Prakan, in 8.00 am rush hour traffic this morning.

The pick-up ambulance had to do a U-turn and come back and pick up the dead body swathed in a white sheet.

A female trader saw the drama that was filmed as two men returned and loaded the corpse quickly.

She said there were a lot of gawkers and she had instructed her employee to put a kind of bamboo fruit basket out to stop people going over the dead body.

What looked like motorcycle taxi guys were directing traffic around the body.

The trader said she was not worried about ghosts but was concerned for the corpse:

"It's like dying all over again", she said.

Sanook contacted the foundation (that was not named) who said that there was a faulty rear door. The vehicle had been taken to the garage for repairs.

The fate of the corpse such as what had happened prior to this event was not reported.

  • At least it wasn't a live ambulance patient this time.

  • Is this the sequel to James Bond 'You only live twice'? it will be titled 'You only die once.'

  • Only in Thailand. Even the best of scriptwriters for movies couldn’t write up a script as funny as the weird stuff that goes on here on a daily basis!!!

To continue with the Bond theme: Never say never again. I will avoid to drive behind an ambulance here, who knows when their rear door fails and you have a corps on the hood.

If your vehicle was already full with the maximum number of passengers, would it mean the corpse would be unable to claim from your insurance for his 'bodywork repairs'?

Lottery numbers! There's got to be luck-eee lottery numbers somewhere!

If the door was faulty why didn’t the corpse fall out when they pulled away again? I think it hadn’t been closed properly, but blaming something else is the norm here, so no surprise. But ‘door failure’ makes a change from brake failure I guess.

Yes, blame the door, road condition, rain, fog, smog. up hill down hill and night and morning... moronic tribes

Very impressive someone in the road and not run over must be a first ????

Most of the ambulances I have seen in recent weeks (quite a few I must say) have been so stuck in traffic, that if the rear doors did come open, the body would land on the car behind.

For sure this corpse tried to escape. Good that it didn't get very far. Great job of the ambulance.

For a corpse ? I seriously doubt it

So many juvenile, bar-stool comments. Had it been a loved one, would these creatures be so flippant?

Just when you think you have seen it all.

Thailand comes up with the goods..

Definately not. We would be disappointed that the coyote dance performance had been delayed by traffic hazzards.

like a sort of macabre Carry On !

I was just going to post that "Dead All Over Again" would be a catchy book or movie title.

Pretty much sums up the The Kingdom...dead, vapid, discarded, forgotten and totally FUBAR. ????????

It's already a surprise they didn't blame the body for opening the door as it's never their own fold .

Faulty door. Sub standard maintenance.

non existent training. Incompetent middle management. Does anyone know of ANYONE who has been sacked???

EVER?,........ for ANYTHING????

So predictable. Sad.

lets hope the critical thinking bunny visits this new year and stays a while.

WhAt am I saying...... they would simply eat it.

I’m sitting here with bea Leo and curry wonderful morbidly what the sound would have been of somchai hitting the road. I know I know I’m sick!
