RTP will not be fooled! Monks caught smuggling millions of methamphetamine pills

Thai police have announced the arrest of two monks and three others who were caught trying to transport 4.8 million Ya Ba pills (methamphetamine mixed with caffeine) from the north to central Thailand.

Also taken into evidence was a gun, two vehicles and eleven phones.

The arrests followed on from a case in August when 3.6 million Ya Ba were seized. Police were told there would be monks in a van travelling to Chainat province.

The gang were using monks to try and trick the police.

Phra Sumethpariyatkij, 39, and Phra Maha, 30, were arrested at a resort in Chainat along with laymen Panuwit, 26, Phichai, 44 and Samrerng, 44.

The monks told the police they needed the money to complete masters' degrees.

The police dismissed this as ludicrous.

The entire gang have been charged with possessing drugs with intent to sell and weapons offences and have been detained.

Well, not all of the time.

'Justice Minister Somsak Thepsutin has admitted that the chemical seized in what was initially billed as the biggest drugs haul in Thailand’s history is not ketamine, but a harmless cleaning agent.'

Just don't mention the recent 11 tonnes of ketamine seized which upon testing turned up exactly zero tonnes of ketamine.

"allegedly" ... that's a nice windfall for some people to ship quietly.

Okay RTP not fooled but the PEOPLE have been, who would have thought it, upright Buddha following MONKS engaged in Criminal activities.

Daily occurrence I think, just swept under the carpet along with Pedoes, Drunks, Scammers and now Drug runners.
