A medical officer in Phetchaburi province has reportedly contracted Covid-19 after carrying out an operation in Samut Sakhon province on December 23.

According to a report on Wednesday morning, the 47-year-old medical officer lives in Kaeng Krachan district. She was one of 30 personnel who had been sent to the red zone area that day.

After the operation, all personnel were ordered to quarantine themselves.

This latest Covid-19 case has increased the number of infected patients in the province to 19.

Some 863 people have been checked and found free of the virus. However, 3,297 are awaiting test results.

Bit strange they boast about testing capacity but never seem to really catch up. They have claimed in the past to have over 10.000 a day capacity. Maybe that was a boast or they just don't want to test everyone as that would bring numbers up.

Front line medical worker bless her hope she recovers.

I have 2 in my family in England that work for NHS.

There very busy at the moment.
