Thank God that Neil avoided smack.

Robert Hunter lamented the day narcotics became important for Jerry- 'stupid addiction,' to quote his words.

And now for something completely different

A great song extracting the urine regarding American jingoism. Unfortunately the Soviets had just suppressed the Czech population demanding freedom so The Beatles got attacked from both the  Left and the Right.

Peter Green was born on this day. Tippers has pretty well covered all of his stuff but as he's away on one of his job assignments, i think it's oil drilling but it could be something more environmentally correct such as growing cannabis strains for medical research, I thought I would put this up,

Peter exorcising his demons.

Well done, bannork.  Payback for all the needling I've heaped on you over time.    Actually my occupation is that of a psycho psychic.  Should be obvious as I've been absent for a spell but as soon as my moniker is invoked . . .

Truth is that I took a breather on covering Peter Green.  More for the sake of others than myself.    There's much, much more material to add.  But not today.

Today I'm playing hookie from my earnings obligations to host Tipper's Halloween Special.  Only two days left.

I'll start with the screamer, She's My Witch, by Kip Tyler & the Flips from '58.  bannork was most likely teething that year and the constant drool running down his chin was so frightful that he needn't a costume.

This television performance of I Put a Spell on You, where Screamin 'Jay Hawkins displays all his charm and visual paraphernalia, was conjured in the British studios of Granada TV in the early 60s.
