In my experience of life, if you are doing something that you shouldn't be doing, eventually, inevitably,  you will get rumbled.  I couldn't take the stress, even if I had the inclination, which I don't.  

I wouldn't call it mongering just process you would go through finding a partner in any country you lived. 

If the role was reversed how would you feel. the answer will or should determine the answer to your question.

I believe I can help here. Ignore some of the advice above. Let your friend know that opposite to what you may have heard, Thai women on the whole are very understanding and cool headed. They accept that he will possibly have other interests and as long as too much money is not re-directed away from wife No. 1 then all will be OK.

The wife usually knows. As long as you don't fall in love its OK. In most cases it very important for her not to lose face. There will come a point where she might even encourage you. As long as you take care of her and the kids and don't cause her to lose face you can still mong around....but discreetly...as she will be doing with her gik.

When i was 13 years old , i chance hand! Nowdays you have easy ways, only open google and write there "thai pov porn"! Any 13 yers old boy know how to do that and when you get adult age come to Thailand.
